There was rodent feces in the kitchen floor and cabinets and in downstairs bedroom. We could not get the multiple thermostats to stay at 71. They were programed to stay at 60 and it was November and cold outside. We were informed after we had paid for the stay that the deck that was in shown in the pictures advertising the house was not actually on their "premises and we could not use it. This deck was actually in bad shape and roped off.and was ropadveradverthome

Nice house. Be prepared to clean when you arrive.
When we arrived, we found mice droppings in the sheets. The lights would not turn on in the downstairs bedroom. I messaged the host informed we are washing all the sheets in the house and lights aren’t working in bedroom. It took several hours for them to return my message. No contact number was given so I had to use email only. We found the breaker box and was finally able to get lights on before the host responded. Host completely dismissed the issue of the mouse droppings. The place was nice but be prepared to clean before you start your vacation. Beautiful view! Our favorite place to sit was the porch swing on top level. Once you clean and start your vacation, it was wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay! The public beach was across the lake from the house, and it was a little noisy (completely understandable, just unexpected). We enjoyed fishing from the dock & hiking some nearby trails!

Great property
This was a great lake front property. The house was clean spacious. Plenty of room for our family, much bigger than we expected. The area and lake was absolutely beautiful! We did have a problem with the upstairs AC not working which made it a little uncomfortable upstairs. But the property manager was very responsive and did everything they possibly could to try to get someone out to try to fix it during our short stay! We will definitely be renting again in the future.

Great family vacation
The house was big and perfect for our two families! The lake was amazing for both swimming and fishing and not very busy, especially during the week. We all had a great stay and plan to come back next year. The only thing I would change is a ladder from the dock to the lake to accommodate swimming and getting in and out easier. We had to make our own makeshift ladder that ended up working ok. The owner was very responsive to any questions that arose. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Family Birthday and Easter Celebration
Amazing views from property of Lake Malone, nice pier to fish from or just sit back and relax, tucked away from main streets to very little noise. Inside we enjoyed a lot of time playing pool, outdoor golf putting and we brought our own corn hole set and played that! We rented a pontoon boat from Shady Oaks Resort Marina and cruised a half a day around Lake Malone and fished! I would totally recommend that as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home!

Exactly what we needed
We booked over Thanksgiving week/end and made memories to last a lifetime. This house is everything a lake house is supposed to be. We played pool, we played cards, board games, colored made s’mores…it was perfect.

Decent stay
It's about what you would expect. Check in was a hassle, we were a little early and there was a 50$ in early check in fee so we just killed time. Second floor door handle did not work, repeatedly fell off during the stay. Dock was average at best, pretty unstable.

BAD experience with The Queen of Lake Malone.
The queen of lake Malone was disappointing at best. What looked to be a great place to disconnect and enjoy family time fell short of expectations. Our late arrival bought relief ending the days travel, soon replaced by disbelief. After a quick walk through and unpacking, the bedding was inspected (a common practice when traveling). The presence of human hair in multiple beds resulted in stripping linens and firing up the washer/dryer. Keeping things in perspective, our next test were scurrying roaches from under the refrigerator followed by more in laundry room. Moving the refrigerator resulted in a roach race. Refrigerators tend to be forgotten, thus become messy underneath. This was beyond messy, it was filthy. One would not believe the video taken when moving it. After locating no cleaning supplies it was apparent cleaning would wait for a trip to store next morning. The second bedroom upstairs had a faint odor for which the source was not located until later. A lab experiment in a plastic bag under a bed containing wiggling larvae was removed. Unbelievable. The house appeared not to have been cleaned prior to our arrival. The next morning after cleaning under refrigerator and cleaning the vacuum, the entire house was swept. We were informed by our Four Seasons representative that cleaning supplies could be delivered and house keeping arranged for the next day. This should have occurred prior to arriving. The shame is this facility has great potential with a little TLC. This experience is unbelievable had it not happen to our family. Spending time together despite disappointing conditions was enjoyable. I find it extremely difficult to fathom no complaints concerning pests have never been filed. An adhesive pest trap was found when cleaning the downstairs bedroom with roaches on it. The presence of this roach trap clarifies knowledge of a pest issue. Shame on Four Seasons’ failure to provide a clean and healthy environment to customers.

Relaxing Get Away
The house is at the end of the lake Malone. We loved the dock and used the Kayaks that came with the house. We sat out on the porches everyday looking out over the lake. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The communication was great. They answered my emails and was able to help in a timely manor, when we needed it. Over all great time. We loved the new sectional and TVs in the great room. We found everything in the kitchen we needed to help cook our meals for the week.

I couldn’t tell by the listing exactly where the rooms were located but it worked well for us. 1 king bed on the main floor and plenty of seating. The main living area was on the upper floor. This worked well for the younger people.The beds and furniture were very comfortable . Enjoyed the pool table. Also on the main floor. This house could use a deep cleaning and some minor maintenance.

Overpriced for current state
It is a beautiful house with a ton of potential but there were many issues during our stay. Missing light bulbs, there are now only about a 1/4 missing/burnt out in the house but started with 2/3-3/4. After sending the owner a message he sent someone who replaced some of them. Master toilet, takes an hour for tank to refill. There is a towel under the water feed so maybe guessing they know there is a leak. Master sink on right side, drains very slowly and almost overflowed a few times. Peeling wallpaper in master shower. Trash under master bed there were bottles and trash underneath. There is trash in closets on lower level. The lower level door handle is loose and cannot be locked. Carpet is stained in to many areas to count throughout the house. The stairs to the old dock are a hazard. Dead bugs and spiders webs on ledges and window sills, just needs cleaned well. Glass doors with face prints, again just needs cleaned between guests. Missing towel racks from downstairs full bath and upstairs children's room bath. Deck needing repaired, with a sign of being worked on since February. And lumbar sitting randomly on the house deck, lower level. An unplugged old refrigerator sitting on the top deck that needs cleaned or thrown away and the lower level fridge needs cleaned as well, it is dirty and smells. Random trash through out the yard, produce, cards, old water bottles and lots of cigarette butts to name a few. The new dock was a nice surprise and the water access made it worth staying. Overall, we were very disappointed with the level of the house for the cost and representation on the site. I has already sent this feedback to the owner.

Amazing location
The best thing about this property is it's location. Directly on the lake with a fabulous view - just amazing. And even from inside the house, there are tons of windows and a terrific view. There is a lot of wooded area around and we saw several deer, plus an eagle and lots of other big birds. Communication with the property manager was also very easy and someone always responded immediately to my questions or concerns, which I appreciated. And of course, it was great to be able to bring our dog here. The house itself needs a little attention, which I shared with the property manager. But there is a lot of space and the king bed upstairs was extremely comfortable. This kind of seems like a party house (there is a bar area and a pool table) so maybe it would be a good place for a young group of friends to hang out or be good for a large family with a lot of kids.

Beautiful Location
Family holiday trip. We chose this so that we could all stay in one place. Large home on the water. Quiet, peaceful and close to the state park. A few maintenance issues, but would rent this place again.

Another great stay at the Queen of Lake Malone
This was our second stay at this property and we absolutely love the location as well as the home in general. With 3 decks overlooking the lake, a pool table, a putting green area and 2 kayaks and docks it is simply a great place to visit. The owners are super easy to work with as well. We hope to return soon and I highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved this place. It was incredibly spacious and the decks were incredible, as were the views. This is the 5th property I have stayed at on the lake and it is indeed The Queen of Lake Malone! We look forward to returning soon...
