Amazing property!! 10 out of 10!!
Publié le 5 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family has been gathering in Dunnellon for 5 years now for Thanksgiving and our rental this time was the best rental we have found by far. It was so great we have already booked it for 2026! The property is beautiful, the house has such a great set up for a large group with so many great spots to sit and relax and catch up with extended family and friends. The pool table was an awesome place to hang out, as was the fire pit, the porch, the deck and the river! It’s simply gorgeous! And the kitchen and bedroom set ups were perfect for a big cooking extravaganza. I especially appreciated the extra towels and blankets that were all soft and cozy and piled up ready for us to use. Thank you to the host for being so easy to work with and for sharing such a special home with us.

Lovely getaway!
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayHad so much fun with family at this beautiful home! You truly cannot beat the location, the river is so peaceful and absolutely stunning! There were plenty of towels which was nice because so many rentals do not have those. My only issue was there was not salt, pepper or foil which I know something that is guaranteed but it is nice when it’s already there so you have what you need in the kitchen. With all that being said, I would definitely book again! The host was also so accommodating and very responsive which was very nice.

Hi Heather! Thank you for the review. We usually have tons of condiments and foil, paper plates, cups etc but the last guests prior to you cleaned us out. Really frustrating because we just got here tonight and I noticed the same thing. Restocking tomorrow!!!! See ya back soon! Thank you for leaving our home in such great shape! 😘

Weekend Getaway
Publié le 28 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great weekend in Rainbow! The house is in a great location to everything and the privacy of the island was wonderful. All of our friends had a great time and we would come back. We paddled from the house to Swampy. All of the swimming supplies were a great plus (tubes, floats and paddle boards). Things we would note is that there is no longer a second fridge for large groups and you can no longer use the balcony on the second floor (seen in the marketing videos on Instagram). That was a major selling point for us so that was a bummer. The upstairs room had lots of cobwebs and could use a good clean. Our friends didn’t mind, but something to consider. The bathrooms that are en suite do have secondary access from hallways. There are two grills and pretty much any supply you’d need for cooking. We had a good time regardless!

Hi! Thank you for the review! We did purchase a second brand new fridge but it was on back order for your stay which we really apologize for. Our insurance company made us close off the second floor balcony sadly, they’re really cracking down on insurance in the state of Florida. The height of the windows on the second story are so hard to get to and it seems the second we get the cobwebs down outside they pop right back up. The teenagers usually stay in the loft and have a blast! Thanks for staying with us and we hope you come back!!

Our adventures in the crystal clear river water were fantastic. The host is easily accessible and very accommodating. We will definitely return. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience for all of our family . s

Perfect location / not perfect living conditions
Publié le 25 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe best location on the springs. We had the most perfect swimming hole, right next to the tubing. The area was beautiful and our group had a wonderful time in the springs. As far as the house was concerned, I will start with a positive. We loved the dining table with the center lazy susan. We were all quite disappointed with the rest of the house. It wasn’t very clean and the house needs maintenance and updating. Most of the pots and pans were put away dirty so we had to scrub them all. The oven and fridges had old food drips in it. The cabinets were in disarray. The pool table was unusable with the felt coming off (we tried to brush the dirt off it) and no tips on the pool sticks. Everything was worn out and un-maintained. Cushions were dirty. Shower head sprayed in all directions, towels were musty smelling, the decor looked like it was from a yard sale. Overall, just uncomfortable. The worst part is that the house has german cockroaches living in the kitchen. We would open a cabinet and they would scatter. One of our friends with us owns an exterminating company, so he was knowledgeable of the issue. Some of us wanted to leave after seeing that, but we decided to spend most of out time outside and just stick it out. All of us that stayed are business owners and we are happy to pay for clean, comfortable decent spaces, but we never expected such an unkept environment.
As guests, we are being truthful of our experience.

I am very sorry to hear of these issues. We have replaced the cleaning crew as they were not up to par so hearing this is very upsetting. I wish you would have let me know of the issues while you were there and we would have remedied these immediately. We hope to have you back and promise a better experience as all of my other guests give us a five star rating and are repeat guests year after year. The summer rains, bugs and humidity and moisture are a constant struggle in Florida. We have a monthly exterminator service and I have let him know of your complaint. Also, I will have my management address the pool table and order another one.
