Great mountain getaway
Posted Aug. 11, 2023 on HomeAwayAccurate information about the property, comfortable accommodations, great location. Great for traveling with dogs. No issues with the cabin and provisions. Property management outstanding with helping us out, going above and beyond when needed. No window shades or covers but secluded enough to not be a big concern. Hope we’ll have the opportunity to stay here again.

Snow Days
Posted May 1, 2023 on HomeAwayThe cabin felt secluded and remote even though it was within a short distance to Durango and Silverton. WiFi was excellent, allowing me to do some quick work. We loved the big open windows to watch the snowstorm during our stay. Our only problem was finding the road where the cabin was located. This may be easier with less snow. I recommend staying here.

Beautiful cabin really close to purgatory ! Cozy and practical !

The accommodations were good ! Two cot beds could use a thicker mattress ! For kids teens it’s ok ! We lived the proximity to the ski resort :) and enjoyed our stay ! Thanks

The cabin met all our needs

Purgatory
Posted Aug. 30, 2022 on HomeAwayCabin was clean. It was one big room. Living quarters and bathroom downstairs. The bedroom was a loft with several beds in it. If we were not by ourselves, hopefully we would be with REALLY good friends, because of one sleeping area. There was no porch to sit on and enjoy the outdoors. Only a tent with two plastic chairs

Thank you for your feedback. We do show photos of the outside of the home, and no there is not a deck (as shown). We do have chairs so you can enjoy sitting outside.

High fee place
Posted Aug. 27, 2022 on HomeAwayGood property. Fees are too high. Needs a deck. Maybe plant some flowers. Did I mention fees are too high too bad it’s a one bath place.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you felt the fees were too high, but we do disclose all fees up front so there should have been no surprises. Next time you can book directly and save some of the VRBO service fees. It is also advertised that it just has one bathroom.

Quiet Secluded Cabin
Posted Aug. 8, 2022 on HomeAwayThe cabin was nestled in on the ridge of a mountain up in Purgatory! We saw lots of wildlife and the weather was perfect, lows in 50s and highs in upper 60s. The cabin was very cozy and had everything!! We would definitely stay there again!!!

Beautiful property in a beautiful location
Posted Jul. 13, 2022 on HomeAwayThis home was perfect for us (two adults) and our two dogs. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked each night of our stay. The furnishings are basic and comfortable. The WiFi works surprisingly well given the remote location. And there are plenty of trails around for hiking. This place is even better than it looks in the pictures. We highly recommend it.

Nice, secluded and convenient
Posted Jun. 19, 2022 on HomeAwayHad a great time. Close to lake. Convenient - right next to Purgatory easy drives to Durango and Silverton. Also easy to get to Telluride and Ouray from here. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks.
