Cool condo; great location

Very nicely decorated and clean condo in a convenient location. It is very close to the Historic Downtown so close to the train station, restaurants/bars, and shops. The management company was quickly responsive to our questions. But two points that are not clear on the website: 1) the on-site parking can't hold anything bigger than a Tundra pickup truck. And there is no way to overlap. There is free street parking nearby, but on the weekend, that gets full. 2) the website does say in small print that the condo apartment is on the second floor (with no elevator). But the bedrooms are up another long flight of stairs. These 2 issues caused us some difficulty, so I'll give them 4 stars instead of 5.

Correct, the listing does state - "The front door to the condo is on the 2nd level so stairs are required from the the street entrance.", as well as lists the Bed Configuration showing the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor of the home. Condo was updated very smartly. We also loved this condo’s location with access to the Riverwalk and just around the corner from beautiful third Street and all the original beautiful paintings as well.

Very convenient location. Clean. Quiet considering proximity to Main St. Would benefit from more "hang up" space for clothing and some relatively inexpensive single use items (salt, pepper, sugar packets).

Durango Downtown Convenient

Excellent location with convenient covered parking. Easy walking access to the main street shops, restaurants, pubs, and train depot.

Nice condo in the heart of downtown!

We very much enjoyed our stay! Great to walk everywhere to shop and eat. Felt safe although there were some homeless people. Parking spot is tight but could still park our Ford 250 short bed truck. Condo had everything, nice appliances, except coffee pot needs replacing. Also, needed more paper towels and had to buy tissues and hand soap. Would stay again!

We provide starter kits for items like paper towels, tissues, soap, etc. Once the starter pack has been used up, we do expect guests to purchase any remaining supplies they think they will need for the remainder of their stay. Things to know before renting this location

So this is an average review. You will probably like this property if you rent it in the winter and have a pet. If you don't meet both of those, you may not enjoy the rental. They have an A/C issue that requires the AC to not go below 68 (they have a sign) because it locks up. There is one unit for both floors so this means the bedroom is usually 8 degrees hotter. To get the house cool you have to close all blinds and run the unit all day to get the downstairs cool. They know they have a problem and have lots of fans to compensate. The rental has a musty pet smell. Lastly, make sure that you have two codes (which are different) to get into the property. Their VRBO listing only had one. Their e-mail had both, but we did not know this and spent 20 minutes trying to get in. The property is managed (and maybe owned) by a company. When I shared the issues they kept nicely saying I was wrong. I told them I could send them a picture of both the AC issue and the instructions from VRBO, which they said was not necessary, but never apologized. So not a great experience and we would not rent this location again.
