A Perfect NYE Getaway

Posted Jan. 1, 2020 on HomeAway
We had such a nice weekend at this beautiful home! The location was great, there were awesome views, and Marc was a very kind, courteous host! He was very easy to get ahold of if we had any questions. The hot tub was very relaxing and spacious. Also, it had all of the necessities. If you are looking for a family-friendly winter rental this is a great place to book.

Xmas Getaway for 4

Posted Dec. 26, 2019 on HomeAway
We had a great time! The house is very clean and well kept. Plenty of space for a family or two. Close to Jiminy Peak where we went skiing and snowboarding. Front hill is great for sledding (bring your own). Close restaurants and shopping/groceries. Can’t wait to come back again and bring some friends! There was a small hiccup with hot tub but owners were very responsive and took care of it ASAP. A couple recommendations, I’m a cleaner 😂 ocd 🤷🏼‍♀️ Would have liked a back up roll of paper towels and actually some extra t.p. as well, ohhhh and some garbage bags! Also, there is only a Keurig coffee machine so bring your own pods if you’re a coffe-a-holic. Thank You again, will be back and stay longer!!

Not a summer rental

Posted Aug. 6, 2019 on HomeAway
This home seems almost new, like it was built/rehabbed for spec and never lived in. The furnishings are adequate but spartan. The conclusion I have is that it would be adequate for a winter rental, but not summer. There were no screens on the windows or doors, so you could not open them. It was in the 80s during the day and the 60s at night, but the house felt suffocating. There is only an AC window unit in the living room on the first floor, and a window unit in the bedroom on the second floor. There are a few ceiling fans, but two window units couldn't begin to cool the rooms without units, which was most of them, even when we left the doors open at night. Also, there is a very big problem with hot water. No one could get through a shower without the water turning cold. If you turned the shower off for a few minutes, it would warm up but for less than a minute, and then get cold again. There is a beautiful outdoor deck, but no table or chairs, other than a few adirondak chairs. No tables of any sort. So when we grilled out, we had to go sit inside the closed up house. There is no WIFI. On the plus side, it's a beautiful property and we saw deer every day. Although it is very near the highway, it isn't near any entrance. It takes pretty much 30 minutes to get anywhere, including groceries/shops Some people might find the highway noise intrusive. There is alot of potential in this house; I think if the owners had ever stayed there, they would quickly notice what was lacking. It looks like it is on the market.

Beautiful House

Posted Jun. 4, 2019 on HomeAway
The house is located on a hill top overlooking a huge forest. The view from the deck is absolutely gorgeous. I can't imagine how beautiful it will be when the foiliage changes in fall ! The house is clean and well equipped. It is also well designed and spacious. We have some issues of water pressure in the house, but the owner was very responsive and quickly fixed the problems. We took short trips to nearby Albany and Boston. A wonderful stay !
