Great cottage for two!

- Less than 10 minutes walk to Josiah’s Bay Beach
- Great air conditioning unit in the bedroom for a cool nights sleep!
- Space to park rental on the property (inside the gate)
- Lovely garden and beautiful view!
- Jenefer was available via call/text and was very helpful with answering questions
- Highly recommend this space!

Cozy Bungalow
Publié le 27 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is the perfect spot for a couple who enjoys either boarding or body surfing! It is an easy walk to Josiah Bay Beach. The bungalow is surrounded by plant and bird life and is most relaxing. Thanks to Jenefer for great communication!

Bring white noise
Publié le 19 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property itself is as pictured and lovely. The staff is very helpful and eager to help make the stay great. My only complaint which is no fault of the property are the roosters that crow all night long right outside the bedroom window. If you are a heavy sleeper you'll be fine or bring white noise and headphones.

Beware- property not as represented

"Outdoor Grill" - not operational
Josiah Bay Beach NOT "footsteps away”.
Running water discolored: light brown. Toilet water
brown.
"Gazebo" outdoor furniture in great disrepair-furniture rotted
“Fully equipped” kitchen had a small propane stove which had to be manually lit with matches. There was NO kitchen ventilation-stove rusty and peeling paint Refrigerator dorm sized and leaked constantly
Walls damaged due to water
Electricity inadequate- at the same time. Electric extremely questionable.
Room has ONLY small indoor wall mounted AC unit- water dripping down wall and side table. Bathroom consists of a toilet closet- no sink. Shower is step in closet, drain surrounded by sharp broken tiles.. Toilet shower combo shares a single sliding door which you slide back and forth according to function required. No ceiling in the shower or toilet cube – mere couple of feet from the sounds and smells as you light the propane stove.
Bed not king
Closet doors half missing.
Roosters make sleeping difficult. Commercial traffic starts as early as 5am and the roosters crow all hours. No option to close the rusted shutters-roosters feet from your head under window-not "rustic"
NONE of blinds work.
“luxury linens”- mismatched and worn
Used VRBO many times- shocked by misrepresentation.
Island at 95% capacity-no rebook avail. We tried.
Listing needs modification for accuracy. Owner had to be aware of shortcomings. Embarassing situation all around.

Wow...I am totally shock by this review. Your opening sentence shows the justification of the nit-picking. It was no fault of our own that the cable provider did not show up in time to assess and fix the cable box. Never once during the stay, you requested to check-out. I would've assisted you in making alternative arrangements if that was the case. I know there were several available rooms at various hotels on the island of Tortola. Instead, you spent two weeks at the cottage and now seek to request a full refund from VRBO. You did not even offer to pay for the use of the electricity although you utilized the washer and dryer on the property.
The three complaints made to me during your stay are as follows:
- The cable is not working (We worked diligently to try to fix the problem by submitting a claim to the service provider and making several visits to their office)
-There was no can opener ( There was two available at the cottage but nevertheless, a new one was provided)
-The split AC unit was dripping (A technician was deployed and he told you it is a new unit that he installed a few days prior to your stay. Your response to him was to do not worry as it mysteriously stopped dripping.)
Thank you for your insight on the improvement of the cottage. We have made much improvements since the passing of the two category 5 hurricanes that ravished the BVI territory. We are hoping that this year 2023 we will be able to continue making improvements. In all of the Caribbean islands there are chickens roaming the streets and on private properties. In the Caribbean we embrace natural elements.
In your message to us (after you check-in) you stated "the cottage is perfect. All the comforts of home..." Please allowed others to experience the cottage. We are sorry about the lack of television experience during your stay.

Lime leaf in Josiahs

Misrepresented property details
Publié le 29 déc. 2021 sur HotelsThe property is misrepresented- it says “on beach” - it is nowhere near the beach. It is very isolated and even a cab is very difficult to get- the driver asked why we would book a place so isolated- we had no idea! When the property manager was contacted she offered a refund but has since reneged. We felt very unsafe here and would never recommend this property!

Authentic Island Vibes
Publié le 30 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe host is amazing !! When we first arrived we weren’t able to get our rental car and could not get to a store so she had her daughter bring us food ! She was helpful with every issue we had while staying ( none of which were related to the house). Josiah’s Bay Beach is an easy walk or extremely short drive and is picture perfect. If you crave five star luxury this isn’t the Ritz but that is a good thing as far as we are concerned. Def I it would would stay again.

Cottage is well appointed with all your needs — coffee maker no filters needed, towels, beach chairs, beach towels, beach games, home games — a wonderful, clean, and beautiful cottage. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Internet was great. We would return in a heartbeat.

Sweet little home.
Publié le 24 févr. 2020 sur HomeAwayI was working out on Miskito, So distance from trellis bay was nice. For a work trip the house was pricey. But I really enjoyed the home, it felt like a home. I could imagine if my sweat heart had joined me sitting on the porch in the evening. Very clean home well equipped.
Great communication with host!
I was lost when I first arrived and she drive to fetch me at a gas station where I ended up.
Very lovely people at the gas station as well. Shout out to bobs gas station!
When we discovered the Internet was not working and it was part of why I booked lime leaf, the host was on top of it! By the next day she ordered a new “box” and had it installed, internet worked great! Faster than at my home in the states!
I really loved being able to have Josiah bay just steps away, surfing after work was nourishment for my soul.
Thank you lime leaf and bvi for being such gracious hosts.
