The description of this rental as "spectacular clifftop house next to gorgeous sandy beach with stunning views" is absolutely true! My wife and I agreed this is by far the top Caribbean house rental we've experienced, and we always rent outstanding properties. Ben was a great, responsive host in advance of our visit, and there was a bottle of champagne and two chilled flutes in the refrigerator upon our arrival (it was our 25th anniversary). The house was perfectly designed for the location, and the location was perfect, with both sunrise and sunset views, and outdoor space facing west and well shaded from the intense Caribbean sun (if you've rented east-facing houses in the Caribbean, you know what that's like). We arrived at night and couldn't see the views, and the next morning, we just sat at the porch looking out over the beautiful north coast of Tortola, and took it all in for hours. The house can be fully opened to take advantage of the continuous breeze, and the bedroom can be closed off to use air conditioning if desired. The drive to the house adds to the sense of adventure - with narrow steep mountain roads to navigate (which are paved the entire way). The kitchen is well stocked, and had a really nice assortment of dry goods (rather than being totally cleaned out between guests, like some short term rentals do). There was a pair of snorkel masks onsite, although Rogue's Bay is more of a sandy sit-in-the-sun, or wading out and swimming or relaxing on a float. Rogue's Bay is beautiful and only minutes away, and we had the entire beach/bay to ourselves during our stay. We also enjoyed the numerous small hermit crabs moving about the property and the lizards (mostly small). We absolutely loved this house! We wish we had another day just to sit there on the porch taking in the beautiful surroundings. With so many interesting destinations around the world, we rarely consider returning to the same location, but this is one location (and house) we are definitely considering for a return trip.
