Publié le 19 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy Mom and I stayed here for a short “get away,” and not only was everything in great shape, clean, and as stated in the listing, THE VIEW WAS AMAZING!! We stayed in early October, and the view looking through the trees to the lake and the wetlands around it was just stunning. We both agreed we’re coming back here again, it was everything we needed it to be to relax and recharge ourselves, but the peace and quiet in such a beautiful outdoor environment was worth every penny. We had a question which was answered timely by management, and the check in and out process was super easy. 9.5/10 will DEFINITELY be back!!

Sept 12th Stay

The interior had a noticeable odor that was problematic, especially on the first floor. The unit has many interior surfaces that need repair or updating, and could definitely use a deep cleaning. We found several areas that were inconsistently cleaned, and not well maintained. The exterior also needs attention, as the deck is due for replacement due to splintering. The area under the deck has accumulated trash and many things are haphazardly stored there. We would not be able to recommend this property in it's current condition.

Thanks for your feedback, David, however the home is clean. The only odor smelled upon a walkthrough was a freshly cleaned home. The deck was repaired last year and treated and we were told has years of life left and is safe. I assume you are referring to the wood floors needing to be resurfaced, which was just done a few years ago, we apologize it wasn't up to your standards.

Spacious home right on the lake

Location is great. The backyard is right on the lake with a cute little dock.
Very spacious.
Lots of amenities
Cons:
Very dirty
Found a leak under the sink in the upstairs bathroom that had been there for a while due to the mold and water damage.

Ashley, when we spoke, you didn't mention anything about it being dirty. I inspected it myself and I know it was NOT. I did miss the leak, but it had not been there as long as you think. It was tightened up the day you checked out since you didn't want us to fix it while you were there. I certainly don't think we deserve a two-star review because of that. Had you mentioned any other issues, we would've addressed it right away. I hope you'll reconsider your review.

property overview
Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat location. Plenty of A/C units to keep house cool. Kitchen was great except dishwasher was a bit confusing to get going. Outside was great! Deck and table/chairs and BBQ were A1. Plenty of lawn chairs and drink holders and firepit was perfect. Kayaks were lots of fun.
Couple of issues. Both outside trash cans were completely full on arrival. Facet handle in downstairs bathroom broke, still worked but kept falling off. Could use a new shower head in upstairs bathroom, old but it worked. Bed frames in master bedroom and bunkbed room squeaked a lot. Unfortunately there were no tools in the house to tight up the connections. Could have used a bigger dining room table, since the house is advertised for 10, there was only a small round table and 4 chairs. Overall it was a great week. Thanks!

Thank you so much for this feedback, it's all very helpful information! I apologize about the trash- it only gets picked up once a week and some guests use more than others. I'll take a look at tightening the beds. As for the dining, I agree, the house sleeps 10 and the dining table is for 4 plus 4 stools at the counter and in the basement there's an additional long folding table and about 8 folding chairs as well! We're glad you had a great stay otherwise, and hope you'll be back!
