Booked and paid for my stay 3 months I'm advance. When we went to check in, the people at the check in hut acted like I never paid. When I tried to show them my receipt, they said it would be okay and they would contact Expedia. Told us it was because we booked too far in advance we were having these issues.
FYI they didn't check with Expedia, they just decided to double charge me. When I called to complain about being charged a 2nd time. I was told not to book thru Expedia next time and that if I called them directly they would match Expedia's price.
I had to call them twice to receive my refund. And when I called the 2nd time I was told this was an Expedia issue, which it wasn't since I paid directly with Expedia.
The overall vibe of Sankoty is so underwhelming, it will truly disappoint. The tent is nothing special, you can see cost savings at every turn. Basic toiletries are not included in the glamping tents. It may look peaceful online, but the reality is that your tent will stare at a golf cart trail, houses and the sound of traffic can be heard all day/night long.
Also, definitely are treated worse when booking with Expedia. The first tent we were given was by far the worse tent. Tent 1, right next to the road. Also didn't have working A/C. When we told the office people about the issue, the office lady told us we would be getting a much nicer tent. A tent that is reserved for people who book on their website.
