Great mountain getaway!!

Posted Nov. 22, 2024 on HomeAwayIt was a delight to be there. Wish we could have stayed longer! Only caution I have for future guests is that it is not ideal for someone with mobility issues. There are many uneven surfaces.

Cabin retreat
Posted Nov. 10, 2024 on HomeAwayWe enjoyed being so close to the creek and the fresh mountain air was refreshing. The beds were so comfortable and the cabin cozy. Perfect spot for glamping. Host responded quickly to our questions.

Relaxing Weekend

Charming and cozy
Posted Oct. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayHad a delightful visit at the cabin during the height of fall foliage - the colors were spectacular and getting to view the falling leaves while sitting at the rushing creek was heaven.
Appreciated all of the amenities at the cabin including the fireplace and well stocked kitchen. The location is remote and very quiet. Got to see deer, chipmunks, squirrels, hawks, and birds all in the front yard. A wonderful visit!

Creek side Cabin
Posted Oct. 4, 2024 on HomeAwayMy husband and I had a wonderful relaxing time at the cabin. It was very clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely. The property and creek are beautiful! One glitch we had was that on our first night there was a power outage from early evening until noon the next day. So we had all the inconveniences associated with that. Vanessa was in touch with us and let us know when the power would be restored. Everything else was great! We’d love to come back again!

You were troopers! Being in the mountains can cause outages sometimes. It is important to note we have now added a lights-out box with extra batteries, lanterns and flashlights just in case!

Beautiful Anniversary Getaway
Posted Sep. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayI booked this as a getaway for our 14 year anniversary. It was a beautiful location, and the directions provided were spot on, so we found it very easily. We had a minor hiccup when we realized that first evening that there was no hot water, but when we reported it the next day, someone came within a reasonable amount of time and was a simple fix where someone prior to our arrival had turned off the switch in the kitchen. It was a plus that we were able to bring our dog with us and he and I enjoyed time at the nearby creek fishing! I was disappointed that all 3 propane tanks for the grill were empty, so no steaks from the grill for our anniversary dinner, but the stove worked fine enough. The water is not potable, but we were prepared as this was noted in the description and reviews. We would definitely stay here again. It has a very rustic, old cabin charm with enough upgrades to keep it comfortable.

Great Get Away
