Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an absolutely lovely week at BareBoat Bungalow! Perfect location near Tawas State Park for beaches and exploring. Only 25 minutes to Lumberman’s Monument and Largo Springs hiking. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views on the point. We loved playing games in the four seasons room and relaxing with a book. Plenty of room for our family and we couldn’t have asked for better communication from the host. We used the kayaks and beach chairs and wagons - so convenient and fun! We visited the farmers market and shopped downtown as well! Went bowling and found a couple of great places to eat and also cooked at home. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing week, we hope to visit again.

Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe home was in an adorable and safe neighborhood close to the lake. You can view the lake if you take a walk in the neighborhood . The state park is within walking distance, but if you drive, there is a fee if you don’t have a yearly pass. There is not much shade at the state park beach, so we drove into town to go to the dog friendly, shaded beaches. The home is a bit outdated, but had very comfortable mattresses/beds. We enjoyed the board games and books provided. The grass was a bit overgrown. The house was clean except for the windows and windowsills. The upstairs was a little warm. Overall, we had a fun time. The house had many amenities.

Bareboat review

Three kayaks, a wagon for beach excursions, life jackets for all ages, grill, cooking utensils, spices, etc. made for an easy trip with our daughter and her family. Beds were very comfortable! On small wrinkle was the upstairs was a little warm. However, upstairs A/C and fans were a great help. Being near Tawas State Park was wonderful! Beach and bike path therein were great!

Fabulous Getaway

We walked the trail to the pet beach every morning, biked, kayaked, and swam. We had three days around 90 degrees when we were there and the house was plenty cool. (And I am a wimp when it comes to hot weather). Everyone in the area was very friendly as well. Don't hesitate on this property - it is wonderful!

perfect little getaway!
Publié le 12 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy 4 teens, a dog and I had a great time at the barefoot bungalow! The space was fantastic and well stocked, the location was perfectly convenient, and beautiful! And if it can keep 4 teens and a dog entertained and happy for 3 days than you know it's got it all!! And we didn't even use the kayaks this time so I know we'll be back!

Birding paradise and family fun!
Publié le 19 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was clean and cozy. It has all the amenities needed and then some. It’s a nice walk to the state park. We had about 30 species of birds just in the yard, including a bald eagle. Awesome for us birders. We look forward to returning in the future!

Tawas Bay
Publié le 14 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay at Kate’s bungalow in Tawas City. It fit our family of four (plus dog) perfectly. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and cookware we needed. We enjoyed games, movies and the outdoor fire pit. The convenient location made walks along the bay frequent and easy. The drive into town is short so we enjoyed local restaurants, our favorite was Tawas Bay Pizza Company - great food and friendly servers.
We’ll be back, hopefully for a longer stay! -Kirsten

Great getaway in Tawas!
