Publié le 17 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWas a rough start first the heat didn't work and then later in the afternoon I realized the lights weren't working but after we got the bugs worked out it was a beautiful stay

The cottage was very clean and communication with the host was excellent. The downside was the bed, it had a plastic mattress cover that made it difficult to sleep. Last night, we slept on the couches.

Tawas Visit

The TV did not work, and we needed to get assistance from an employee connected with the property manager to fix it on the second day of our stay. Bedrooms are small. The neighborhood was nice and close to shops, restaurants, etc. Overall, it was a nice visit.

Sparkling Clean & Charming
Publié le 18 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWhen you arrive the outside appearance is simple & tidy. Upon entering you find an over the top clean home. The quality of the cleanliness & very new carpet gives the whole place a clean & fresh appearance.
Kitchen is adequate with all new appliances. But it is small, especially the frig. I would make sure to have a cooler for the porch to keep drinks in if you are bringing in much food or beverage. Also plan on bringing in ice small counter top ice maker is there but if you use much ice get a 5# bag.
Getting in was a little tricky. As warned by the owner the code lock is finicky. Owner was available by phone to guide us to outside key station but if it was really dark that could of been tricky too. Please find a new solution!!
All the furniture was of comfort & in good shape. Bath towels etc. Appeared brand new and in a good quantity. Which is important since there is no washer or dryer.
Only disappointment was using the TV. My husband an Engineer & Techie took about 20 mins to get it to function. Selections were very limited with most things to choose from being "CLIPS" not full programs. Being in beautiful Northern MI you might think you don't need alot of TV selection but it rained everyday & night we were there. So nighttime outside time was limited.
We would come back & recommend this to family & friends.
