Family vacation
Posted Sep. 1, 2021 on HomeAwayWe did not know much about neither the town nor the neighborhood before booking. There was not much available on the Cape, so it was the most suitable we could find. Location is not that great. You will have access to the river through the owner's property across the street, but to get to a beach or anywhere else you have to drive. The house has 4 bedrooms, but two of them are tiny. There is no central air. Most of the rooms have window AC units, but one of the bedrooms does not, only a fan. Bedroom's closets are tiny as well. The fridge was leaking and did not hold the temperature. The toilet in downstairs bathroom was not properly secured and was slightly moving. Three were some issues with the fuse box. Parents of the young children: be aware that there is a steep staircase down, right in the middle of the main floor. There is a deck, which we used a lot. The outside space is a good size, but it is not a real lawn and you would not let your kids run around barefoot. The owner, Mike is real nice. He met us at the house and showed around. He also offer to use his backyard and the peer for outdoor activities and the meals. There are two kayaks and the paddleboat you can use at any time. It was a highlight of the stay. Not sure about going back.

At Evolve we take great care in making sure our properties and amenities are well described with lots of professional photos and even a map to show the exact location of our vacation homes. Sorry for your confusion, this vacation home is not advertised as beachfront – although there are three public beaches within a 10-minute drive. This home is well described, is a modern home, and was completely remodeled in and out in 2016. As a split entry design, the short stairs greet you on entry and are all up to code. The owner provides child safety gates for the safety of little ones.
The Owner was available across the street during your stay and has a history of being very responsive to the needs of guests. Thank you for bringing the minor issues with the refrigerator and downstairs toilet to our attention. In speaking with the Owner, he apologizes for any inconvenience that you may have had. The repairs have been made but the Owner would have appreciated an opportunity to remedy them during your stay.

Clean, bright and well stocked
Posted Aug. 26, 2021 on HomeAwayWe were very comfortable in this home and the owners went over and above to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. We had PLENTY of room and the house had everything we could need and more. We didn't need to use the basement bedroom, which seemed a bit musty as most basements are, but the upstairs was clean, bright and comfortable.
