good value. Disappointed in swimming pool. Nice pool, nice and warm. But only a cold shower at side of pool. Nobody showered before going in pool. Shower so cold unable to shower afterwards. No instructions about towels. If I had known about the showers I would have taken the big bath towel from my bedroom. Then when I got out of the pool I could have run up the stairs..the only way to the pool was through the dining room. Very embarrassed I would have slipped between the guests eating and caught the lift up to my room. I'm not sure I would have had the cheek to do that..as it happened I had only taken a very small hand towel thinking I would be able to pick up a pool towel like at all the other hotel pools I've used.

Such a tired-looking hotel. All the communal carpeted areas are smelly. Outside the second floor lift there are brown liquid drip marks on the wall. My bathroom had mould on the tub and nasty gunk build up around the bath taps. Everything at breakfast was lukewarm, - coffee, fried eggs, bacon. Staff are very friendly though.

Fantastic Stay at a Lovely Hotel

The room was clean and cozy and warm. The room service was great as the bed was made and fresh towels given every day. The swimming pool was warm and clean. Very polite and helpful staff. There was live entertainment on one night with a great singer which was very good. The hotel is right on the beachfront and not far from the town centre. We have to visit Eastbound regularly to see my brother who is ill and this is the best hotel we have stayed in so we will be staying here in the future. Thank you for making a necessary but sad visit to Eastbourne a pleasant one. 🤗

Our room was very nice, unlike the rest of this hotel it was right up to date.The swimming pool is great we went in early so we have it to ourselfs. The hotel is in an old building so it will be hard to updated all of it. All the staff we met were very friendly. It is not easy to park around this hotel.

Unfortunately the comfort room was not what expected from the pictures shown upon booking, the bed was not comfortable and the dusty carpets, tissues underbed, inside the room, like as well dusty corridor carpets was not was expected for the price of the hotel. Bathroom cleanless also not to standard as expected, the bath front board was dirty in few placed and walls had some resedue. Tv remote control was most disgusting I believed and dont wanna even think what was all that resedue on it. Staff was friendly and polite. I wished that they provided slippers considering the carpet's hygien in the room. There is no AC in the room but a portable electrical fan. Pool much smaller then expected and nothing like on the picture shown. The pool's water had way too much chlorine as just the strong smell made eyes itchy and watery, and if it got into your eyes it burned way too much. Diner., food buffet area had spider webs and clumbs of dust handing from the walls and celings ,not very hygienic to my opinion. Nice view from the dinner was a plus especially in the morning, seeing sunny beach!
