Beautiful view
Publié le 19 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe view was worth some of the inconveniences. Checking in was seamless and the place was clean. If you are on the taller or larger side, the shower is a tight space. The kitchen is small, stocked with pots, pans and dishes, but do remember to bring your own salt, pepper, cooking oil, plastic wrap and foil if you cook. Also, the burners on the stove were fussy and didn’t always work. We had some trouble with the TV and called Del Mar around 8:50 in the evening. Fortunately we were able to work it out by ourselves. I think Del Mar called the next day, but I was driving. I did pick up but didn’t hear anyone on the line. .No message was left by them. The place was right on Rte 6 and getting out of the place was challenging. Overall, peaceful with a beautiful view.

Quaint cottage, convenient location
Publié le 24 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayCut cottage on a nice property right off of route 6 and on the town cove. I feel that for the size/price this property could really use some updating. It was clean but there was a fairly distinct musty smell. A dehumidifier was provided that did help with that though. The bed is very hard and not comfortable. Couch is also very worn and you sink very far into it. Not bad for a quick trip but probably would not visit again.

Cabin review
Publié le 22 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the location right on the water. The cabin was adequate except I was unable fo fit my small motorized wheelchair through the bathroom door. I’ve come to realize old homes are not ADA compliant. We made it work. We also loved the peaceful nature. The queen mattress was very comfortable. New mini-blinds needed in kitchen.

Loved the deck & view
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayGot lucky with near-perfect weather all week so spent plenty of time out on the deck. Sofa is very soft & low so people with bad knees may have difficulty getting on & off. Driveway intersects with busy Route 6 so it can be challenging getting out of the driveway (can the high grasses be mowed near Route 6 or the property sign repositioned to facilitate visibility of oncoming traffic for drivers leaving the property?) The property’s proximity to some amazing beaches on the mid-cape make Eastham a great base. But it’s a challenging location for pedestrians and, for safety reasons, I would not recommend trying to get around on foot from that location. Drivers seem to be going well beyond the speed limit on that narrow stretch of Route 6. We only used the stove for one meal but even boiling pasta for 10 minutes made the adjacent wall REALLY heat up and that made us a little nervous. But overall we had a fabulous week and we’re already making plans to return next year. Thank you!!!

Wonderful cottage
Publié le 9 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had wonderful weather and loved the Top sail cottage. We cooked on the grill and sat on the enclosed deck with our dog every day and enjoyed the water view. We plan on returning very soon.

Eastham

But the very strong smell of mold in the cottage was tough to get past. That's something that needs to be addressed.
