Family gatherings and celebrations are an ideal fit for The Inn at Harmon Farms. We’re so glad you chose us for your CSU graduation weekend. It’s always great to meet a warm and friendly family and know that they’re connecting and laughing and creating memories in our historic farmhouse. Thank you for being awesome guests. What an amazing group of people. Glad we were able to share some goat snuggles.

Perfect Place for Family Gathering
Publié le 13 nov. 2019 sur HomeAwayWe gathered as a family to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. Harmon Farm was the perfect place to stay while visiting with our family from the Eaton area. The owners were very accommodating, providing a crib and high chair for our 5 month old baby. We were able to have family meals with a spacious, well appointed kitchen and were able to sit around a large dining room table. The space was clean, inviting and very esthetic and comfortable. We were able to take outdoor walks, enjoyed viewing the animals and had fresh farm eggs available every morning. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to spend more time at Harmon Farm in the future where “the good life” is sincerely modeled by Amii and Tom.

It was such a pleasure to host you all! As you found, our farm is nicely located between Greeley, Ault, Eaton, and Fort Collins--just far enough out to truly be a respite and gathering place while being close enough to enjoy the "finer things" and nearby services. We enjoyed having family gather from near and far to celebrate your mother. Your family brought such an endearing gentleness and appreciation for the farm and opportunity to spend time in one another's company. Exactly the kind of guests we enjoy most and look forward to seeing again soon! And thank you for the ingredients you left in the fridge (lol, it was exactly how we make our homemade pizzas too) and the treasure trove for the chickens! They are such sweet layers and make mornings and baking an even richer treat.

Stressful stay
Publié le 4 nov. 2019 sur HomeAwayOur recent family stay for our daughter’s wedding ended with added stress & anxiety. We had booked this “picture perfect” home as it was large enough for our family to gather. We had discussions with the owner as to the “1st look” pictures that were to take place on Sat morning of the wedding. The photographer arrived at 7:15 but did not come into the house till about 7:30 as she was organizing her equipment.Hair, makeup & additional bridesmaids were to arrive at 8:00.Some arrived early as to the location of the home. By 8:30 the owner, Amii had already knocked at the door threatening to charge us an hourly event fee .This was the first time Amii mentioned this could be considered an event & the charges. The groomsman arrived in a “party bus” at the scheduled 10:30 (owner notified prior). We were notified that a couple groomsmen did “relieve” themselves near the barn.We apologized as this was in poor taste & talked to the groom about this.Pictures were to take place from 10:30-12:00 then we were headed out for the wedding ceremony & reception. At 11:00 Amii came out once again threatening to call the Sheriff’s &to evict us from the home, there was no disorderly conduct. At that time we had to end our photo session with hopes to continue at the picturesque reception site.Keeping our cool at this time was difficult as the owner definitely put a damper on this special day.In the rush of leaving our daughters father in law had locked up the dogs but didn’t kennel up one of the dogs.Amii was upset about this but seeing as we never signed an official pet agreement with the rules we felt “oh well” he got out. Both dogs are well behaved.2 weeks after our stay Amii informed us the dogs scratched up the stairs? This did not happen from our stay.We did a walk through with her before our departure on Sunday and this was not brought up.We also notified Amii about some issues -the downstairs bathroom that was not cleaned.Shower was moldy & had wet towels hanging inside the shower.Owners response “my bad”.The windows have no screens on them so it appears they are left open quite frequently(lots of dead moths & flies amongst the settled outdoor dust as well as an abundance of bug excrement on all of the window coverings)Linens were clean except for the 1/2 dozen black bugs that were behind our pillows.Owner should have adequate smoke detectors & fire extinguishers as well.We paid the add'l fee.In hindsight a local hotel would have been the best option

Fun Farm Getaway with Grandkids
Publié le 15 août 2019 sur HomeAwayMy sister and I, along with our mom (GG), host our grandkids (ages 3,4,5) for a few days of fun. We decided to check out Amii and Tom's farm and everyone loved the house and location. The kitchen was great for teaching the kids how to roll dough for apple pies and bake the pies. There were indoor and outdoor activities (balls, games, crayons, etc). The highlight was feeding and grooming the horse, Tennesse, watching the chickens - and the GOATS!! We LOVED playing with the goats. Amii took the girls (ages 4 and 5) to the garden and helped them pick bouquets that they were so proud of. We had plenty of room to spread out and the beds were comfortable. The basement was perfect for the toys we brought along because the kids could spread them out for playing and they loved having an area of the house dedicated for playing with their toys - the adults loved this too :-)

It was our pleasure to be chosen to host 3 generations and “Norwegian Camp” and get to be part of slowing down, engaging with nature, and growing relationships. Our farm, home, and animals are an ideal setting for gatherings such as yours. We are so glad to hear it served you well. And we enjoyed every minute with all of you. The smiles, giggles and Facebook updates made us smile ear to ear.

Its farm life!
Publié le 18 juill. 2019 sur HomeAwayIf you are looking to get away from city life this is the location for you. Fresh eggs and lovely view of the surrounding snow capped mountains. Tennessee ( the horse ) loves carrots !
Be ready for no a/c -- fans are provided. Only suggestion for the property owner would be invest in screens for all the windows so that they can be opened to allow more airflow and keep the critters out.

We have been fortunate to host many softball groups and your team of girls was so endearing! We were able to accommodate your early arrival, additional 3 guests over our limit, as well as 2 dogs. In the end, I definitely believe we earned a 5 star review but understand you likely do not realize that 4 stars is substandard for how we strive to treat our guests. We loved getting to know you and sharing time in the garden, watching fireflies AND fireworks, and the adorable videos of the kids line dancing “on the farm.”

Always our pleasure to get great to enjoy guests returning! The farm and home each work well for groups to gather as well as for each member to have a space inside or out to settle in and call their own. The porch, the 4 patios, the sunroom, and our river walk. Perfect for a group like yours! Always enjoy you guys and can’t wait to see you again!

Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets
Publié le 30 sept. 2018 sur HomeAwayA lovely old farmhouse with all modern amenities. Beautiful views of farmland. We were here for the Australian Shepherd National competition in Greeley so did not have as much time as we wanted to enjoy the patio, garden and lawns. I loved having everything I needed to cook dinners when I was too tired to go out. My bed was super comfy. The large laundry room and excellent washer and dryer were a real plus. Amit welcomed us with a dozen farm eggs and to die for delicious honey ambrosia. We will miss our home away from home in Eaton, Colorado.

It was wonderful to get to host your sweet families during your softball tournaments. Our location works well for guests traveling within northern Colorado’s front range and southern Wyoming. You did a great job of enjoying zip lining, breweries, rafting, and time on the farm.

Wonderful!
Publié le 15 mai 2018 sur HomeAwayThank you Amii for a great trip! Your beautiful home was close enough to Boulder and Fort Collins to easily attend commencement ceremonies, and far enough away to feel relaxed and out of the city. Everything was wonderful about the home- beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything one needed, bathrooms were convenient and very clean. We so appreciate the time with you to visit the animals and a history lesson of the farm. Hope we can find a reason to visit again!

Well said. We feel the same way and love hearing guests' appreciation for our convenient yet relaxing location. This property is such a gem--as are families like yours who travel from SD, FL, DE, and all points of CO to gather on our sweet farm to support and take pride in the accomplishments of others. It was wonderful sharing time and laughing at our horse, pigs, chickens, cow, and goat kids with you all. We look forward to hosting you again in our home or maybe a larger event.

It was wonderful to get to host our first UNC grad group. The timing was amazing with the lawn lush green and the crabapples spectacular. I would recommend future guests consider early May for blooms and goat cuddling. Great meeting you all and sharing farm history--yours and ours.
Thank you for supporting our farm through your stay.
