We had high hopes for the Edgar based on the hotel website, but were sorely disappointed. The bed was the most uncomfortable we’ve ever slept in on all of our travels. Our backs were killing us by morning. The bathroom was an odd mix of new and old. The countertop was a beautiful new quartz with tons of room for all of our toiletries. The shower was old and outdated. The ceiling tiles were disgustingly stained. The plugs were so worn that nothing would stay plugged in; I had to dry my hair in the bedroom. The sink stopper didn’t work. The front desk staff weren’t overly friendly. For some reason, the onsite restaurant was not open the night we stayed. We were looking forward to sleeping in, but were awakened before 7am by loud banging and backup horns; it might have been garbage pickup or deliveries at the adjacent grocery store. Note, there is no elevator but we knew that ahead of time. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. The website doesn’t live up to reality.

Your comments about the shower and the ceiling tiles have been noted, and I assure you we will address these concerns with our maintenance team. I understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with the electrical outlets and the sink stopper as well.I’m also disappointed to hear that our front desk staff didn’t provide the level of service you deserved. Entrance room to the hotel was a little bland; otherwise rooms are good. Located 15mn by walk from downtown.
