Bel appartement avec vue sur le château

Bel appartement, très bien situé dans la vieille ville avec vue sur le château d EDIMBOURG. Mais problème de literie avec un lit en mauvais état et un lit canapé peu confortable et brillant. A noter que ce n est pas un hôtel mais un appartement dans une résidence (comme un airbnb...).

Great apart well located but a little expensive

In the heart of the historic district and close to everything, this apartment is very well equipped including individual heating. However two remarks : 1/ the towels have not been changed at all during the week. 2/ Not far is the Addagio (Accor hotel) including a free hotel service to the apartment rental, all for less.

As we respect guests’ privacy and there is no onsite reception, our cleaner will not attend the apartment to change the towels and linen on a daily basis.Indeed, we do provide a weekly change of linen for guests staying for more than a week and the cleaner will attend the apartment to change the towels and linen in an agreed date with guests. Great apt. Excellent location (we were on Cambridge street). Clean and fully equiped including washer/dryer.

Location bien située dans la vieille ville.

Location bien située pour visiter la vieille ville d'Edinburg. Les écossais sont chaleureux et souriants.Tout se fait à pied. Accueil trop expéditif (Katie était très pressée et ne parle pas français...) Pas ou peu d'explications pour l'électroménager. Une personne parlant un petit peu français serait appréciée. Cette location s'adresse plutôt aux anglo-saxons ! Attention à l'horaire d'avion pour le retour (il faut libérer l'appart à 10h30): pas de possibilité de faire garder ses bagages sinon d'aller à la consigne de la station de bus (6,50£) et non à la gare (24£). Pas de chaîne française (TV5)

The apartment was perfect for our needs. My only problem was with the gentleman that met us there to give keys and go over the apartment. He said there were no instructions for the washing machine and he didn't know how to use it. He made it sound like the furnace was the water heater and that could have been a miscommunication but he did call it the water heater and there were written instructions so he said he was sure we would figure it out. After a day of realizing the water was hot always we figured it out that was for the furnace. He could have been a lot clearer and we spoke the same language. Not sure how it would have worked out for someone not speaking English. Oh, and we did find the washing machine manual in a cupboard. Other than unclear instructions the place was perfect for our needs.

It appears that the confusion has arisen because this apartment has a combi boiler which supplies hot water on demand, while allowing you to program times for the heating.
