La perfection existe...

Je voyage beaucoup pour le travail et les loisirs, ce loft restera dans le top 5 des hébergements occupés prendant mes séjours. Tres propre, tres bien équipé, idéalement placé. Un herbergement tellement parfait que l'on souhaiterait presque le garder pour soi. De plus aprés deux jours la personne en charge du nettoyage est venue nous demandé si nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Nous lui avons demandé du café qu'elle nous aramené imediatement. Tellement contant que j'a laissé 10 pound de Tips a la fin du séjour de 5 jours 4 nuits.

Although I am not a fan of properties with no on site staff, this one worked out. Not having access to email, I was able to call and get the information needed to check in. The man I spoke with was professional, understanding and helpful. The place itself is terrific-immaculately clean, spacious and very comfortable with an onsite kitchen (only for small meal preparation) with an espresso machine, dishwasher and, most importantly, a washer/dryer which took a little time to figure out. Close to Waverly train station on a quiet block. Highly recommend.

PROS: Great location in Edinburgh. Within walking distance of everything. Lots of shelving & storage. Well equipped kitchen. Check-in & out instructions were clear and communication was excellent. Showers were nice and roomy and plenty of hot water. CONS: We requested a week in advance (like instructions told us to) for the sofa bed to be made up. I was told it would be put in my reservation file. We arrived and it was not made up. Luckily, there were sheets in one of the closets so we were able to make up the sofa bed ourselves. However, the sofa bed mattress was quite stained as was the extra comforter. Kind of gross. Picture of sofa bed looks a lot more comfy than it was. They had air freshener reeds in each of the bathrooms that were overpowering. We wrapped them both in plastic bags and shoved them in a closet. Had to request extra toilet paper a few times which was annoying. The pumps on the hand soap in both bathrooms were broken and did not work so we had to keep it unscrewed and just pour a bit out when washing hands. There was large amount/ pile of dust on top of the wardrobes and on the bottom of nightstands. It wasn't just a little it was a lot! Exhaust fan in one bathroom did not work. Not really a con but the clothes washer is a washer/dryer combination unit. It was okay but not very big and dries VERY SLOWLY. Was difficult to do a week's worth of laundry for 4 people. Took forever and a lot of patience.

This property exceeded all my expectations. It was the perfect size and had every amenity that you could ever need! A full kitchen equipped with a stovetop, dishwasher, microwave/oven, and best of all, a washer/dryer. The bathroom was beautiful. The security/enter/exit system was great. As we had come from Canada, we did not have a phone to call but could email. Emsils wete returned promptly. We asked last minute for a late checkout and they were kind enough to let us stay an extra hour fir a minimsl fee. As far as the location goes, it is about halfway up the Royal mile, just 20 steps down a side street. Shops, restaurants, convenience stores, grocery stores, are just a short walking distance away. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be in the heart of Old Town Edinburgh. It was magical. If I was to return to Scotland, I would book this property again, no hesitation.

First impressions are key and ours was terrible. We walked in the lobby area to find bags of dirty laundry and boxes of produce in the way. We could not even get by with our luggage. This area became more congested with more dirty laundry each day it was disgusting. It is unfortunate as the apartment was quite nice and clean.
