This is a very cute little hotel. We liked the area and having a restaurant on the property.

Great Hotel

We really enjoyed our night in the Linton Hotel, the staff and locals were very friendly and made us very welcome. The food was excellent. The bar was nice and well stocked. The room was OK, a bit tired but fine for us. It was around 40 minutes from Edinburgh Airport. Will stay there again, the village looked very interesting.

Traditional Pub

Posted Aug. 20, 2024 on Hotels
The member of staff in the bar on arrival was lovely. Nice little pub .Good breakfast. Dinner menu looked good. Sadly we didn’t sleep well as we were just opposite the train line and it was windy, the bedroom windows rattled and also kept us awake. My husband got up in the middle of the night and put cardboard in the gaps to help.

Great Find and Location!

We loved this hotel!!! My mother and I took a long overdue vacation to Scotland and this hotel came up as being close to Edinburgh. It is on a bus line (the X7) to downtown Edinburgh and the stop is literally across the street from the hotel! Convenient if you have luggage. The bus ride is about 40 minutes to Edinburgh so easy if you want to head there. I’d recommend exploring the East Linton area though. It’s a beautiful area with walking paths and restaurants. The hotel has a pub and restaurant attached. We had breakfast and it was incredible!!! I wished we also had dinner. The menu looked great. The room was perfect for us with a gorgeous view of the church behind the hotel. Everything was well provided and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The toilet had a shredder built into it and we weren’t used to that. I did notice the sink backsplash needed a quick wipe. That was literally the only thing that needed doing. If you are a light sleeper, know the church bells chime on the hour until 11pm. We loved it—that just added to our magical stay!!
