Suite in disrepair and not clean.
This property is in a lovely new neighbourhood but has not been well kept. The photos you see on VRBO are not up to date and do not reflect the current state of the suite. When we arrived, we noticed that the stairs leading down to the suite were dirty, missing the edge trim pieces and had been taped with masking tape which looks terrible. There is a hole in the wall that has been covered with bright red tuck tape. The description of amenities when I booked the suite included a coffee maker with tea/coffee, cereal and snacks provided. None of this was in the suite when we arrived. When I reached out the first morning with some questions, the owner did not respond until the following day which was very concerning. He did not leave a cell number to reach him at so the only way to contact him is thru VRBO. When he finally responded he said the previous renter must have taken the missing items. To his credit he did have some cereal and Kit Kats delivered later that day - but no coffee or tea. The cupboards had food splatters on them, cups and plates had food stuck on them so I ended washing them by hand before we could use them.
In the bathroom, the toilet seat is taped in place and the toilet seat lid is missing.
In the bedroom near the bathroom, the mattress and box spring are sitting on the floor in the middle of the bed frame. The photo of the suite shows the mattress raised off the floor so Iâm assuming somewhere along the way the slats holding it broke and were not replaced. A brown substance was on the headboard as well as splattered on the bedside table.
Overall, I was disappointed by the significant delay in communication with the owner and lack of cleanliness as well as the disrepair noted throughout the suite. I would not stay here again.
