Posted Sep. 30, 2023 on HotelsWonderful studio with kitchenette. It looked like it had been renovated recently as all the furniture, furnishings, floors and wall paint looked new and in good shape. A pod coffee maker too! Easy to check in and out. Very close to downtown Egilsstadir.

This is a very nice place given the limited lodging options when traveling in the remote parts of Iceland. We tried to be at the property when the staff ( singular) was available during the check in time. I suggest the check in instructions could be improved to avoid any language barriers.
1. For example, guests can be told the number of parking spaces in front of each building so that they can keep a safe distance when parking their vehicles. The parking spaces are not marked and it took a bit of a struggle to get that message across. I don’t have any hard feelings about it, but trying be helpful to the property owners and the guests.
2. There was no reception desk and guests were supposed to ring a bell on an inside wall to get the assistance. This could have been communicated as part of the check in instructions. When we reached at the property we didn’t know what to do, but eventually figured it out.
Anyways I have given the property 5 stars because it deserves it.

The owner came out and greeted us personally, and was extremely informative and accommodating. (I think we just happened to catch him doing some yardwork.)
The room was very clean and well stocked with dishes, and toiletries. Could not have been more pleased, especially with having a nice patio outback with lots of shade! Would love to have stayed here more than one night
