Modern mountain cabin in a quiet location at Maurset, the gateway to Hardangervidda. In winter you can enjoy the days at Syssendalen ski center and on the groomed cross-country ski trails near the cabin. In summer the area offers fantastic hiking and fishing in mountain lakes with good trout population in Hardangervidda National Park. Trips to Dyranut and Kjeldebu in beautiful natural surroundings are suitable for the whole family. The Hardangerjøkulen glacier is also a popular hiking destination between Eidfjord and Ulvik. Just a short drive from the cabin is the spectacular waterfall Vøringsfossen, which is a beautiful sight. In upper Eidfjord, the Hardangervidda National Park Museum can be visited for an introduction to nature and wildlife on Northern Europe's largest mountain plateau with Norway's largest wild reindeer area. The Flath Earth Adventures adventure center is also located in the area and offers guided hikes on foot, bike and kayak. Take a drive to the beautiful village of Eidfjord on the Hardangerfjord. A drive along the Hardangerfjord with sights like Mikkelparken Kinsarvik, Folgefonna National Park and Trolltunga is recommended.
