Expect walking distances to city center, other than that, living here for several days are great. Design is neat. Room is clean and stuff is accommodated.

The staff was very helpful and responded quickly. You can chat via WhatsApp with the front desk. The time we were there it was unusually warm so the room was very hot and the room does not have fan or AC. The hot water took a while but otherwise the place was clean. The place is about 20 min walk to the downtown area, bit far away than the hotels on the Main Street but area was very quiet and safe. Uber access isn’t easy so I would consider if you don’t mind walking a little bit.

Good hotel a bit far away from the center of town but fairly quiet which is nice. Comfortable beds and small kitchen in our room. Only complaint is that it was quite warm in December and there wasn’t a lot of airflow with windows open

Great Customer Service

Clean place,modern, nice view from living room. I would suggest, they should put a mirror in the bedroom as there's only one in the bathroom. I would also like to praise Ian at check in, he was great in providing us with places to visit and eat. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. Breakfast was basic coffee and bread, they had some oranges and apples. They don't clean apartments daily and I have to asked twice for toilet paper. Place is near town.

Room was ample size, well lit, breakfast provided variety of juices and food. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only downsize was the location - too far from downtown to walk to restaurants and shops

We walked here from the bus station (13 min) - if you have rolling luggage it should be durable as this is on a dirt road. Easy parking out front, standard breakfast, not a bad location for walking around this small town.

I arrived at the hotel to find it all closed up and no one to be found. I had a reservation confirmed by wotif on itinerary no 721595860299 for 11 Oct -14 Oct. After 30 mins of looking around and finding no one and curtains drawn (I arrived at 1pm) I found someone who told me he thought the hotel was going through some renovations. Angrily i got a taxi to the town and checked into Kosten Aike Hotel (and paid an extra $160 USD for that stay). Am I annoyed....sure am. I could not contact wotif by email as your website only contact by phone to NZ. Expensive and I only operate my mobile using wifi. I had to contact a friend of mine who made contact with wotif NZ to request a refund to my account. I have received no email contact from wotif. No apology and I guess the extra money I paid for the new hotel wont be given. In all a bad experience in El Calafate. Till now Sat 15 October I have received no refund. I expect wotif to get this to me ASAP

I was there with a car, so location was good. View is nice, but would be great if they clean the trash from the meadown right in front of the window. Kitchen had all I needed. Shower hot/cold adjustment is a bit tricky.
