Publié le 30 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was comforting, as it was out by itself, more or less a nice country setting with even a horse nearby! But I was greeted by three large dogs in the dark that scared me! The place is an older home that really needs some elbow grease! When I arrived I opened the refrigerator only to find a live fly in it! The dead boat on the back door didn’t work unless you lift up on the door, and I had a hard time figuring that out, and that was only because the owner sent someone out to clean up the cobwebs throughout the house, the fly in the refrigerator and roach on the floor! The decor in the house needs to be updated! There were cheap rugs throughout the house on the floor that would buckle up every time I stepped on them! I will never stay in another Vrbo again! This was my second house that I’ve stayed in and just like this one the first one was absolutely faulty as well!

Publié le 25 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayI had a bad experience with a VRBO rental a few years ago and said I would never do VRBO rental again. Should have kept my word to myself. The house was roach infested and filthy. Looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. The furniture was covered in cobwebs. I spent several hours mopping the floor to get the filth off of it and remove the cobwebs.
But when nightfall came, the roaches began running. We left a few days early because we couldn’t stand it anymore.
The WiFi was very limited which was not disclosed until we arrived which created issues with scheduled things we needed to accomplish using the internet and video calling. Lesson learned. No more VRBO rentals.

Lake Russell Fishing Trip
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayNice quiet property located 3 minutes from a major boat ramp on Lake Russell. Plenty of parking space for multiple trucks with trailers and an external outlet to charge boat batteries. Gas station with very good tackle selection 5 minutes from property.

Very Merry Christmas
Publié le 31 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe came up from Texas for a relaxing Christmas, and that is exactly what we got. We went mining in Abbeville SC, ventured to Helen GA and all around Elberton. Connie and Robert are the best hosts. They make you feel like family. Homey was the sweetest dog and so sweet to my little dogs. I would recommend this little house to anyone looking for that home away from home kind of place. Thank you both for such a special time.
