A beautiful stay

The owner, Kyle, provided us with all the necessary information to make our stay enjoyable. We rented his boat and visited two beautiful beaches. They are next to each other, but the second one was amazing, and we were alone there. I really recommend this property; I don’t think you can find a better location.

Peaceful lakefront
Publié le 13 août 2023 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I had a relaxing stay at the hooting loon on Green Lake. The home was comfortable, nothing luxurious but then again, it’s a Maine lake cabin. We couldn’t figure out the sound on tv so we just embraced the peace and quiet. Printed tv instructions for guests would be nice. We enjoyed sitting out back and enjoying the lake views! Great location close to Ellsworth, Acadia, Bar Harbor, etc. We’d love to return to this gorgeous area!

Hooting Loon on Green Lake

Loved having a kayak, canoe, and paddle board to enjoy the lake. Can't beat the views from the outside seating as well as the screened in porch. Great location; close to Ellsworth and Bangor. Very relaxing vacation.

Cottage was exactly as advertised, Green Lake with the large dock was perfect.
Publié le 13 oct. 2020 sur HomeAwayCottage was exactly as advertised, Green Lake with the large dock was perfect. Beds were all comfortable, the upper loft ladder access was not for the faint of heart but perfectly adequate for older teens and young at heart adults.
Kitchen had everything you needed for a wide range of meals.
If I could have changed anything; the trash and recycle would have been removed from the shed before our arrival. It contained several trash bags and full recycle containers from previous guests. Not a show stopper. Would go back and stay again. We had multiple kayaking trips around the lake, used the fire pit ant night and watched the Perseids meteor shower off the dock at night. All in all everyone had fun.

Hootin’ good time at the Hooting Loon

We had a lovely time building fires, star-gazing, paddling on the lake, and relaxing. The only downside is that with this serene location, one is a bit removed from Bar Harbor/Acadia/grocery store. BUT DO NOT LET THAT DETER YOU! The drive was easy, pretty, and full of delightful roadside attractions. The cabin came equipped with fishing poles, paddle boards, kayak, and a tiny little beach! I miss it already.

Publié le 23 août 2020 sur HomeAwayProperty was exactly as described. Extremely clean, everything in great working order. Loved the kayak and canoe. Paddleboard also available. Fire pit perfect for evening fires. Private lakefront access. Screened porch was great for meals and relaxing. Everything included—from life preservers to portable hammocks, to coffee grinder, and everything in between. Our first VRBO stay was a success! Can’t wait to return.
