Family vacation

Plenty of room for our family of five.
The weather was not the best but we made it he best of it.
When we did book the place it had nothing about the lakes of the north clubhouse being closed till mid August. (Not that it was the owner's fault we understand things get renovationed.)

Nice Cabin !!

Was a little disappointed that the pool room was closed while we were there (hard to keep pre-teen kids entertained), but we did some exploring and found plenty to do in near by Gaylord. Overall this is a great cabin. Very comfortable, and tastefully decorated.

Very lovely place to stay
Publié le 9 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI was very impressed with this property. The locations were family friendly, close to a beach and a indoor pool. The kids loved the slide in the pool. Staff at the pool was friendly. We went to the lake and did the paddle boats. It was $8 a hour for a non member. the kids had fun swimming and jumping off the paddle board. We went to two local restaurants that were about 15 min drive. I would recommend the Railside bar for their polish food and pizza, the perogies were amazing. I would recommend Forks for their burgers; they were amazing as well. Meijers is about a 18 min drive to pick up some goodies. The house was very homey. everything was lovely, along with he coffee bar they had set up for you. There was some left over wood we used to enjoy a campfire and they had marshmallow sticks we could use. This place has everything you need to enjoy a nice quite outdoor weekend with the family. we had 3 groups. a family of 3 and two families of two with two kids of the age of 8. They had a absolute blast. with the little trail that leads down to the water for a small little hike, we also took a 7 min walk down to the lake and did some swimming. Would definitely stay again.

Smaller Than Expected + pool closed
Publié le 13 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was smaller than expected for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers.
The pool was down for maintenance the entire weekend, which was the main reason we chose this cabin. The kids were very disappointed. Luckily there was the sportscomplex in Gaylord as a back up. 25 min away.
Arrival of the cabin the house was 50degrees BURR. . it took a couple hours for the house to feel comfortable at 65.
The staircase has a wood railing that is NOT safe for kids. lots of stick pieces that seem to be coming loose.
Tv was a little old and small for those looking to watch movies or sports like we were.
The main living room needs more overhead lighting! It gets pretty dark once the sun goes down or on a cloudy day.
Suggest bringing your own toilet paper if you want something better than single ply.
Overall we enjoyed our time together as a family in the small cabin, We used the dining table to play cards and board games that we brought. The couches were comfortable and clean. Our bedrooms were maid up and clean with lots of blankets to stay warm. We did need to do a load of towels while we were there because we ran out clean ones.

Cute place and good amenities
Publié le 29 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely spot, close to skiing and snowmobiling. The pool and hot tub is at the club house and cost $6 a day. It was a great and fun to have. The only negative is that i think this property would not hold more than 6 people. The bedrooms are small. Not a problem for us because our whole group did not come, but could be for other bigger groups. We also ran out of TP and paper towel and we only had 4 people. Not a complaint, just a comment! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this dog friendly property! Thanks Peltons!

Yeah unfortunately the association does charge we wish they didn't but do not have control over. It is outlined in our booking and guest packet also sorry if you didn't see that. It is a cozy cabin but we do have 1 queen bed, 2 full, 1 twin, full/queen sofa sleeper and single pullout sleeper. Very sorry you ran out of toilet paper and paper towel we will address with our housekeeper but there is supposed to be a sufficient amount available. Thanks for letting us know. You are very welcome and we look forward to having you stay again!"

Winter Stay

Cute family getaway

Initially a little cold when arriving so you will have to put up the heat wish they were able to send someone there prior to our arrival to turn the heat on. Otherwise it’s a nice family space the kids enjoyed it!
