It is unfortunate that you felt this way about our beautiful cabin, as the proof is in our five star rating on over 300+ reviews. The description of the cabin and its location is very detailed on the listing so if you did not do your research before booking that is also unfortunate for you. There are great pictures of every area of the cabin inside and out. We are 1 mile off the main highway down a gravel road, which is actually in very good shape for as dry, and hot as it has been. The road has a lot of tourist traffic on it so the hills around here will create breaking bumps. In addition to your complaint about the bugs outside, I’m sorry I did not get my message to mother nature to clear the area of her creatures before you arrived. If you were not wanting to stay in a “private, secluded cabin in the woods” as described in the title of the listing, you should have chose a motel room in town. The cabin is equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more!) with a big, comfy, leather couch, two oversized queen rustic hand crafted log beds, nice large dining table, breakfast bar and you are the first person (in this two year old cabins) to complain that the bed was not comfortable. It’s obvious that you had not one positive thing to say about anything, and that everything you said was in a negative manner, which I’m going to have to assume, and most people reading these reviews can see right through it, that you probably live your life like that every day. You had horrible communication and definitely were not a friendly person. As far as cleaning, you were not asked to clean the cabin you were asked to clean up after yourselves and remove your trash. It is standard for a VRBO to charge a cleaning fee, and ours is one of the lowest in the area. We also have a 5 star rating on how clean our cabins are. If you would’ve followed the instructions in the house rules, and the manual that you were provided, it told you to request your pet deposit back directly to us through the VRBO platform. At least one of us gave an honest review of our owner/guest experience. Wonder who that would be? Have a blessed day!
