Comfortable, Quiet, Great location.

Nice but had bedbugs

1st of, I personally slept in the unit from 5pm 17th till 6am on 18th. Jason checked in on 18th and reported he found one bedbug during his stay overnight. The Guest left a single adult bug in a sandwich bag on the bathroom counter. Saturday 19th we immediately inspected for bugs, the linens were stripped from the bed and the only evidence of bedbugs was the single specimen left by the Guest in the sandwich bag.
2nd, Terminex was scheduled for Monday morning to further investigate and inspect the unit. Terminex confirmed the specimen left by the Guest was indeed a bedbug but found no evidence of infestation. No eggs, shells or debris was found anywhere in the room.
Tuesday the property was treated using Hot Shot Bed Bug and Flea Killer Aerosol Fogger (3-Count) and 8 oz. Bed Bug Killer Dust Treatment With Diatomaceous Earth.
We have monitored the situation for a week now and have found no evidence of bedbugs.
3rd, we spray bug killer once every three months because me personally get all hair up when I see bugs. We don't even have ants in the house. Then 28th we got response from VRBO/Expedia group our health safety and security measures are met at their standards. Where did that one specimen coming from? I'll leave that to you people with bright mind to decide.

Cancelled my reservation on the day of Check In....
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI was on site and received an e-mail at 4:00 PM saying that my reservation was cancelled because they double booked the room with Air B B and VRBO. So, it was stuck without a place to stay during very heavy demand due to functions going on in the area. I was told that they refunded my payment...I made the reservation 4 months in advance....and offered me a 50% off of my next visit....that isn't happening. If they know that they doubled the booking why not tell me in advance so that I could have made prior arrangements....that didn't happen....I was told at the time I was to check in. I will never use VRBO again to book my stays. I have booked this same location 3 years in a row....and now this. Sounds very fishy to me.

Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat place to stay for one night! Property is behind host’s home (as is the street parking) and is like a large studio apartment but without a kitchen. Bathroom is large and has a composting toilet. Communication was excellent and check in process was super easy.

We certainly didn't want to spend the $300. the hotels were asking, so this was a great fine for our budget.. It was a little confusing trying to find it, but if you carefully read the host's directions, it became clear.. The unit was very clean. It would have been nice to have a TV that at least got some local stations, but we were told it did not, so that was on us.

Emmaus Stay for Macungie
Publié le 14 août 2023 sur HomeAwayAs this is our second time staying at this location I cannot say enough. The unit is a perfect alternative to a hotel while going to the Macungie Car Show. If I am ever in the area I will always try to see if the unit is free as my first choice in booking while attending functions in the surrounding area.
