HEATING/COOLING
The Homestead has ducted heating & cooling throughout. Fireplace have been appointed to the dining room for extra warmth during the cooler months. There is underfloor heating in ensuites 1, 2, and 5.

As you walk up the footpath, through the leafy green trees and enter through the doorway to this recently restored heritage home, you will feel the calmness and serenity your group is yearning for wash over them instantly. All 5 elegantly styled bedrooms are ready for you to drop your luggage off so you can venture out to the wonderful award-winning restaurants, world-class vineyards, boutique shops, trendy cafes, national parks, hiking and walking tracks such as Lake Canobolas and Borenore Caves.

Bring your group together in the spacious living areas where you can unwind with a movie or have a beautiful dinner in the rear dining room that looks out into the stunning garden. Guests will also love that they can enjoy a local wine or two in the sunny backyard accompanied by a delicious cheese platter.

At your doorstep is the world-class vineyard, Mayfield Wines. Orange CBD is less than a 10-minute drive away and here you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes, restaurants, bars, parks, shopping & more.

BOOKING ENHANCEMENTS:
Once you’ve booked, you’ll gain access to our exclusive digital guest guide. This unique guide is designed to provide you with all the essential information you need to effortlessly access and fully enjoy your property. Plus, you can easily request an early check-in, late checkout, firewood, and explore other ways to enhance your stay with us.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property for the duration of their stay. Please note that the Garden Flat is located in the same house at the Homestead and can be booked individually. Or together with the Homestead and the internal door can be unlocked.
There is a garage that 2 cars may use at the Homestead.

The Neighborhood:
Orange is a beautiful city distinguished by its gorgeous tree-lined streets, charming heritage houses and fresh local produce. Home to just over 40,000 people, this significant regional centre hosts an exciting calendar of events including festivals of food and wine, cycling, running, hot-air ballooning and poetry along with regular farmers markets and much more.
Over 80 vineyards surround Orange and produce distinguished cool-climate wines made with passion by our resident winemakers and vignerons. The city is also known for its lovely parks, brilliant autumn colours, vibrant café’s and award winning restaurants.

Getting Around:
Car, Taxi, Uber, Bus or Train.

Other Things to Note:
Please ensure that all external doors are closed behind you, so that no animals make themselves welcome inside. During your stay, you may encounter some wild peacocks roaming the grounds - please kindly do not feed them. Please also be aware that peacocks are attracted to shiny elements, in the past they have been known to hop onto cars.

Note: The Mayfield Homestead shares a common wall with The Garden Flat. We encourage all guests to keep to their own space. These properties can be booked as one, however may be subject to availability. Please contact our team if you require more information.

Security cameras are not operational and not in use.

Fireplace: This property has a fireplace that you are more than welcome to use if you wish. Instructions are provided in the Welcome Book in the home and also in your check in details closer to your arrival. Firewood is not provided, however, there are several local providers or you can message us ahead of time and we can help you organise to have some available when you arrive.

Interaction with Guests:
I plan to give my guests space but am available when needed.
