Not for summer
Publié le 10 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayI’ve stayed here several times and usually it’s great, mostly because it’s in my family’s neighborhood. I love the updates kitchen! This time, unfortunately because of the heat wave, it was not enjoyable at all. The home has no AC and the ocean breeze mentioned in the description was non existent. The unit was usually 83-89 degrees at different times of the day/night. The ceiling fans and plug in fans did little more than move the hot air around. The plug in fans were also quite dusty as they had apparently been sitting in the closet for a while. I’m sure I will stay here again, just not in summer!

Little cottage in great location!

Location is great in a quiet neighborhood close to everything we needed and a bonus is Encinitas City walking/hiking trail system has an entrance 1/2 a block away up the hill. We enjoyed walking on the trails and easy access to all this sweet beach town has to offer. This is our 2nd stay here. House appears to have been well-enjoyed in the year since our first stay. While the place appeared clean enough, might be time for some deep cleaning and yard maintenance. Host, Janie, is amazing with great and timely communication.
