The Cabin of Disappointment
Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HomeAwayFrom online pictures you think its a paradise. In reality its the 7th layer of he'll. There were mouse droppings in every cabinet of the kitchen. The coffee station cabinets had an actual mouse nest. After 3 days of customer service they finally sent a cleaning crew. The cleaning crew told me its like this all the time because the owner won't do anything for the pests. Its a total disappointment. Also don't believe the photos they are edited it make the place appear cleaner and new than it really is. Overall avoid this place unless you like spending over $100.00 USD a night with mice.

Hi Tommy, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: -We sincerely regret that the guests felt their experience was less than satisfactory. The photos of the cabin were taken by an Evolve-approved professional photographer and are intended to accurately represent the property.While the cabin is not new—and not advertised as such—it is an eighty-year-old home with updates, and we believe the photos offer an authentic representation of its charm and character.-Regarding the cleanliness concerns, during the week of the guests' stay, our regular cleaner was on a family vacation, and substitutes were arranged. The issue was promptly addressed on the same day it was reported.-As for the mice, we are continuously working to address this concern. Given the cabin's location in the woods and its age, we recognize the challenges, and we have recently placed specialized mouse deterrents around the perimeter of the house, similar to those used in barns and garages. We hope these measures will effectively resolve the issue.-We're pleased to report that both previous and current guests have not encountered any pest issues. We’re confident that the measures we've implemented will effectively address the situation and ensure a comfortable stay for future guests.We strive to ensure an exceptional stay for all our guests and look forward to welcoming many more satisfied guests, as reflected in our numerous 5-star reviews.

Very peaceful and relaxing

The house was roomy and we had everything we needed for a weekend away from it all. We loved exploring the mountains and the culture of towns in the area.

Remote and Very Nice
Publié le 21 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the cabin! Very cool and remote. Rave reviews for the cabin and location. The cabin is decorated nicely and lots of memorabilia from the era. We fished the Mitchell and Stone Mountain with just a short drive.
Check out process was easy, but could be a little easier to find details and clarity regarding to what to do with linens and trash.
The fishing pond doesn't appear to have catchable fish.... or maybe we didn't offer them anything interesting.

Perfect Couples Getaway
Publié le 19 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was absolutely perfect for our 40th anniversary getaway. We loved how it was remote but yet not too far from Sparta which we also enjoyed. Definitely on our list of places to stay again. Thank you for sharing your cabin.
