This is a ver clean hotel with spacious rooms and gorgeous setting. I would add an outlet next to the bed that would take an adapter for US appliances.

Classic and historic Irish hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable with classical Irish decor with large bathtub. Our 13 yr old enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the spa. View of donkeys and baby donkeys at nearby farm was fun. Dining was good.

Very disappointing. Hotel needs some renovation. Very poor value for money. We were given a room overlooking air conditioning units, and then the new room was 702 was hard to find, no lift, even the porter got lost. Very small and dark room. The staff at the bar were very nice and the gardens are beautiful!!!! Great location as well

Overpriced
Good hotel in a lovely setting. Staff were very nice. Hotel is scruffy in parts, including the bathrooms near the bar area. The tiling in our bathroom (which appears to have been done quite recently) was very poorly finished with patches of grout left on the floor tiles which gave the floor the appearance of being dirty all the time, very bizarre. The water bottle in our room was empty on arrival and the floor didn't look as if it had been vacuumed. We ate dinner in the bar. Average meal with the steak not being cooked as requested. Seabass was smothered in sauce, disguising the taste of the fish. Dessert was very nice and breakfast was excellent. Overall, although conveniently situated in a beautiful part of Clare, we felt the hotel was overpriced.

We enjoyed our stay but ended up eating at the bar in the hotel (it was good!) as there didn't seem to be many options in town. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even left us a little note in our room as it was our honeymoon!
