Lovely Home in Quiet Neighborhood
Publié le 1 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved our stay! Very clean. Cute cozy cabin. Plenty of kitchen and table space. Nice cozy living room area with plenty of games that we enjoyed. Beautiful flowers out the back door next to the hot tub. Enjoyed seeing the elk roam through the neighborhood. Good location for access to Mt Rainier and Crystal Mountain. Overall lovely place! Host was responsive, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Should have stayed longer

Perfect!
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here for a couple days because of the location, being so close to Rainer NP. We were so close to the park entrance and close to Enumclaw for food and other needs.
The cabin was beautiful and clean and I wanted to stay for good.
There were elk and other wildlife roaming around. Very quiet.
Perfect! Will be back when it's time to hike in Rainer again.

Nice and cozy
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayVery nice place, quiet neighborhood. Only drawback was the WiFi was super slow. An upgrade in WiFi router and/or the Cat fiber cable to increase speed would bring the place to five stars.

Internet access along highway 410 is poor. AT&T service is better than the rest but still has data download and video processing delays much of the day.
The entire area is limited to a DSL connection. The entire 410 corridor needs additional transmission towers for service to improve.
The in-house modem and ethernet cable have been upgraded to the highest level possible. We had a service tech visit this summer to check our internet access and router. We were told our equipment and internet access was at capacity and improving the home internet access was not possible. Earthlink is available in the area but in our location it is not available due to interfering trees and a signal is frequently disrupted by weather.
Local residents have a designated area on FS 70, called the Greenwater internet cafe, for video conferencing and uninterrupted internet access. There is a good signal along this stretch of road from the local fire dept. The home has an unlimited long distance land line for guests.
The home is not a good location for working on-line.
I include this information in my opening/closing document and appreciate notices from current renters to prospective renters. So, until the internet service providers improve the distribution of transmission towers along the 410 corridor the Greenwater community will continue having slow internet access and unfortunately frequent disruptions. Thanks.

Top Notch Spot Near Rainier
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe highlight of this property is the outdoor space. Tons of nooks and crannies to explore with many little paths going through it. Excellent deck and flora setup. Whoever devised it deserves props. Very close to Greenwater which has a few shops that are well stocked. Also close to Mount Rainier at <1hr from Sunrise which makes for excellent proximity to many hikes (we did Boroughs and Fremont).

Mt. Rainier vacation
Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was lovely and a good fit for our family of four. The location was perfect for our day trips to the Sunrise corridor. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. It was a little unexpected that we were 30 minutes from Enumclaw, so grocery shopping took a little planning, but the drive is very scenic and Enumclaw is nice and has plenty of options for shopping and dining.

Excellent location, beautiful house, communicative/helpful owner

Not only was it clean, and everyone was comfortable, but it was also only about 20 minutes from the park entrance. We saw elk outside every night and the home was furnished beautifully.
The owner, Tom Coan, gave us tons of helpful tips, detailed Check-In instructions, and even monitored which park roads/entrances were open or closed, keeping us apprised constantly leading up to our trip.
It was peaceful, quiet, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after long days of hiking. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, I would absolutely stay here.
