Hi Gemma,Congratulations on your engagement and hopefully you were able to enjoy your stay at Eratap despite the few issues you have noted.We always welcome constructive feedback and will just respond to a few of the issues noted so that any other prospective guests reading your review will have a broader understanding of the issues you have raised.*Xmas and summer in Vanuatu can be very warm and air conditioners are needed. Like most hotels and resorts, we ask guests to turn them off when not in their villas for extended periods because often doors and windows are left open making the air conditioners work unnecessarily overtime. They are powerful air conditioners and will cool down the room very quickly, if left on permanently they can overchill the room causing condensation issues when guests check out *Prices can seem high for certain things in Vanuatu because the Australian dollar is very weak at present and, as Vanuatu has to import everything, it is impacted by shipping costs that have almost tripled because of Covid. In addition, significant duty is charged on all imports into Vanuatu. Fortunately for our guests, we sell our accommodation in Australian dollars so that helps guests dealing with the poor purchasing power of the Australian dollar. We do have a free daily shuttle service to Port Vila where guests can purchase anything they require from the supermarket or the chemist. I think that most guests will find that the prices are similar in the resort shop.*We definitely do have lizards and geckos and a host of other tropical island creatures which are often more prevalent during the hot wet season. This is the case with any country in the tropics. Fortunately they are not harmful or poisonous.*I am sorry to hear it took 3 days to replace your villa robes. Normally that would not be the case but sometimes when we are super full and there has been a lot of rain about with high humidity, it can take longer to dry things.*Our staff have always been very well looked after and represent the cornerstone of our family run business. Eratap staff are in high demand and can choose to work anywhere in Vanuatu and now Australia and New Zealand. Thankfully they choose to stay with us and the majority have been with us since we opened in 2007. Our staff are our family and your assessment of the workplace environment at Eratap is misguided.Thank you for taking the time to review the resort.Kind Regards, Louisa

Dear Suzy, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and your positive feedback. Certainly the snorkelling off the beach and the free use of boats is a major bonus at the resort. We have an amazing chef and great menu - and mostly get it right. Breakfasts are always a highlight. Hopefully we will see you again in the future. Thanks again.
