Come and enjoy the entire jay cooke cottage in the woods on Jay Cooke Rd right outside of the official state park markers. We are in a rural area in the small town of Esko, MN. It is a family friendly community with mostly acre plus yards.
A few miles down the road you will find yourself in Jay cooke state park with the northlands beloved superior hiking trail (SHT) and the munger trail hoasting several miles of smooth blacktop paths for biking and rollerblading.
The tall pines surrounding the cottage are between 60 to 70 feet tall, helping you get your nature and tree therapy to recharge.
The quiet neighborhood will help you enjoy star filled nights by the fire pit, With sounds of up north nature and wildlife.
We have six camp chairs, with outdoor and patio furniture to enjoy the outdoor vibe you are coming to find. This is your escape from the cities hustle and bustle but close enough to the craft district for delicious grub and our famous local brews made from sweet lake superior water.
Jay Cooke Cottage invites all outdoor enthusiasts to partake in snowmobiling, hiking, biking, x country skiing, disc golf, horse trails, snowshoeing, fishing, rock hounding and great photography. Also
Jay cooke cottage is close to Spirit Mt and Mont Du Lac for year round activities and events.
We are a kid and dog friendly cottage. Esko is on the outskirts of Duluth in a very safe and family friendly neighborhood. The community boasts large properties with privacy and safety.
There is a shortcut to Duluth through the jay cooke state park down to chambers grove park, mission creek, Hwy 23, st louis river, and the boy scout boat landing with two docks.
Our kitchen is supplied with any utensil you would need to cook a meal for your whole family or group.
If you love camping in the jay cooke state park but want the comforts of home with a private acre yard you will love the our jay cooke cottage.
We have a coffee pot that brews by the pot or uses k-pods. If you wish to cook outside we have a charcoal grill and freestanding grill for over the fire pit.
The cottage was freshly redone in 2024 including local nature art, Himalayan salt lamps, secondary lighting, essential oil diffusers and a zen with nature vibe.
Our cottage does NOT have any cameras for you and your groups privacy.
We enjoy helping others discover the area living a few miles away.
