Always very friendly and kind to me. Very accommodating and willing to help. They care a lot about the aesthetics of the hostel and make it a priority to create eye-catching displays, such as murals and painted cabinets. I always stay here when I visit Eugene.

Amazing staff!
Publié le 15 avr. 2024 sur HotelsI couldn’t have been better cared for. The room was clean and well updated. The staff was AMAZING! I had never stayed in a motel before and was a little nervous to begin with, but I will be staying here again.

Comfy and Affordable

Great Atmosphere, Great Staff, Private Room Okay
Publié le 22 oct. 2023 sur HotelsThis is generally a great place. There’s a cozy, social atmosphere and the staff were super nice. It was clean and kinda funky- mismatched drapes and a cool tapestry on the wall. We rented the Captains Room instead of staying in the dorms. The only negative was the price for what it was. You don’t really get any of the traditional amenities you get from the same price elsewhere, like a little shampoo (these types of items were available to purchase). The room is also right by the front desk and the walls are thin so you hear everything. We were awakened in the morning by staff entering the office. Not their fault - there’s just no sound proofing to to the walls. There is an additional $20 room key deposit, which is fine since it is not a card key; just something to be aware of. It takes 3-5 days for it to be refunded. You are required to strip your bedding after your stay and deposit them and your towels into bins in a different room. Again, it was fine, but not at that price point. To be fair, we knew it was a hostel and should have set our expectations accordingly. I think we thought it would be a little nicer given that we paid for a private room.

Hi Amy, thanks for staying with us and for providing a through review! Those are always appreciated. She's an old house, and we do our best to keep her comfy though sometimes the layout can be funky. We are doing a hostel redesign this winter to update and refresh, so come back again in the Spring as see the changes we've made! Also, you are 100% welcome to leave your bedding in your room, but it's a nice gesture to staff if you want to strip it. Community lodging always appreciates those little moments.
