Excelsior: exceptional!

Charming; quiet; secure; low-tech (no 27 LED lights blinking at night, staring into my sleepless eyes); courteous and helpful staff; delicious, home-made breakfast included; competitive pricing; and classical music themed rooms. This kind of hotel attracts like-minded guests; and we were not disappointed. And there were little touches, too, such as a nightlight in the bathroom, and a wine opener with the ice bucket! We’ve stayed at more expensive venues with less amenities. Each staff member went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable. By the way, that was a great bed.

Room was very small but nicely decorated and themed. Very close to the University, but surprisingly few attractive dining options nearby.

It’s a great place, close to campus and each room is themed to a classical musician. Family owned. It was here 25 years ago when I was a student at U of O, always wanted to come inside. I’m so glad we did!
