B Dock Walk-Cozy 3 bed/2 bath and close to beaches
This new painted unit is walking distance to âBâ Dock, Battery Point Lighthouse and Beachfront park. Also SeaQuake Brewing and new Paragon Coffee are within walking distance. The fenced back yard can be accessed from the Master Bedroom and side yard. It has a small patio to enjoy the bright Sunny days in Crescent City. Enjoy most of the amenities you will find at home including a smart television to stream your favorite shows.
âB Dock", Rock Beach and Pebble Beach are all within just a couple blocks from this property where there is good fishing and crabbing without having to charter a boat.
The Redwoods, Smith River and Jedidiah Smith State Park are an easy 10-15 minute drive from the home. Enjoy your stay!
Our first day there was pretty cold. The heater didn't work and we were freezing. We finally figured out that the furnace pilot light had gone out. I immediately emailed the owner and he was very responsive. He was going to send over a person to light the pilot lightllight.mamathey're mine
Cute little duplex and close to the beach. Not the most modern place but it worked. Had almost everything you could image needing except for a candle to mask the old/musky smell of an older rental. Not the worst problem to have Iâm just a little more sensitive to smells. The WiFi was not working when we got there but we contacted to owner and they were very quick to help us remedy the situation. Overall we had a nice time. Cozy little home for a couple like us or a family!
Great place to stay if you are checking out the Redwoods and the ocean. The main beach in Crescent City is great. The ocean is 3 blocks from the house and you can check out tide pools at low tide. Took my two kids on first solo dad trip. The house is cozy and nice.
The good about this property was being close to the beach and the north section of the Redwoods.
The bad about this property is many. The house smells bad, there are ants all over the kitchen, mattresses are falling apart, bedding specifically the pillows are old and gross, the carpet is gross to step on, windows couldnât open, there was a spot in the bathroom that looked like mold had been painted over, you can hear conversations through the master bedroom wall that you share with the neighbors which makes it hard to sleep, and the tubs donât drain very well.
My family ended up leaving a day early because we were having asthma and allergy issues. We didnât have issues when we were out of the home. I would not stay here again.
Very nice location, only a short walk to an overlook where we watched sunsets every night. House is very well stocked with extra towels, sheets, pillows, paper towels, etc. Others had left behind some pantry goods (we did the same) so it was nice to have some spices, cooking oil, coffee, etc to use. Plenty of kitchen equipment available to use for making meals. Some nice little toys/coloring books etc. for kiddos. Great to have washer/dryer available.
Only real downside was that the cleanliness wasn't that great. Master bath bathtub was so clogged with hair/gunk that it wouldn't drain properly, and there were a few other areas that look like they'd been skipped at last cleaning.
I did have one particular cleanliness issue I contacted the owner about, and they responded quite quickly, which was great.
Very nice property; convenient location to shopping and beach. Was accurately described, clean and spacious. Would highly recommend and would stay again. We enjoyed the visit to Cresent City and especially that we found this reasonably priced property whete we comfortably could be together.
.
This place was very nice and convenient to the beach and town. I definitely recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable the place had been recently remodeled. The place is well maintained. I forgot my phone charger and they gladly mailed it back to me. (Thank you)
Great little place to stay with everything you need. Very cozy and great location. Only issue we had was checking in. There was no communication with check in info. 30-45min after check in time I had to call the owner who was very helpful and was able to assist us with checking into the house.
This was fine for a 3 night stay while in town for work. Note: this is a duplex, the master bedroom wall is a shared wall. But the neighbors were quiet-so it was ok. Only a wall heater for the whole house but it stayed warm enough. Very nice TV but no instructions so we figured it out. Kitchen was fine, noisy refrigerator. Couch had a few crumbs from the last guests otherwise it was clean. Would probably stay here again.
House was the perfect size for us. Was like the comfort of home. Close to the beach and the forest for hiking. House was clean and well stocked for extra blankets and towels. We all enjoyed our stay!
I never received an email with check-in instructions. The owner did not know the code to get in. I had to call the property manager, who did not answer, for the passcode. I spent an hour waiting to get the keypad code to get into the duplex because nobody knew what it was.
Once I got in, the place was as advertised and was good for my trip.
You know, we didn't turn and leave, but I wouldn't come back
It was kind of a rough stay. Waiting all day for the door code to come and 15 minutes before check-in, we bothered him via vrbo messaging and he sent it over. So, nothing to panic about, but not great. The house was just okay. It smelled musty and just not great. We aired it out and felt it improved enough to close the windows. The bed had dog hair, the couch smelled pretty bad, every floor had dog hair....enough that when you went to put shoes on you were scraping dog hair off your feet. I pulled the blanket off the couch to use while watching a show and it smelled so bad I threw it in a wash cycle. I had to wash dishes as I pulled them out of the cupboard. There was enough dog hair to wonder if they had cleaned before we arrived. I suppose the house kind of felt like an unkept bachelor pad and I would not be pumped about having to stay there again. We didn't run for the hills but we were excited to check out. So, you won't die, but I wouldn't recommend it. PS. if the person renting next door snores, expect to get very little sleep. Paper thin walls.
