Ladies weekend

The house was clean and close to restaurants. The table and chairs provided for games was a nice touch. The deck was wonderful. I do wish the electric fireplace would have worked. The Television in 2 of the bedrooms were not set up either. We all enjoyed ourselves very much 😇

Hi Willa, Thanks for your nice review. Our fireplace does indeed work, the remote just needed batteries. If we had been informed we gladly would have ran over and replaced them for you. Great Place Close to Historic Downtown

Great location

We stayed historic main during the Eureka Springs Jeep Jam and loved it! The property was very spacious and comfortable plus it has an amazing location!

Mold issued

I am an allergy/ asthma sufferer. When I walked in there was a terrible mold smell. I had challenges breathing for the first 2 days. Not great for allergy/ asthma sufferer.

I am sorry to read that you were not fully satisfied with your stay. I find it odd that with all of the interactions we had during your stay you never mentioned that you smelled anything or especially that you had trouble breathing!! I absolutely would let a host know if this were the case where I was staying! I really am not sure how to address an issue that has only been mentioned by one other in 71/2 years of operation, back to back renters, AND a recent inspection did not detect any issues, except to say that I feel it's strange that I have made it a point to ask renters in between the other person who wrote this...and they all say not at all. I wish you well with your health issues. Lisa

Nice property

Check in and online rental was great. All of us (4) are over 65. The listing did not mention very narrow parking or the steps up to bedrooms- 3 steps to 2 bedrooms- then back down 3 steps to bathroom. Master bedroom had 2 steps up but bath attached. Some dust and moldy smell. You need additional hand towels, and at least a full length mirror in bath or bedroom.

Dianne. Our property has one of the largest of street parking areas that Eureka has to offer. Many homes don't have any off-street parking, some don't even have any close to their stay...so we feel our offering is very accommodating to our guests. The steps that you mention is incorrect, there are 2 steps up to the 2 bedrooms, and 1 step up to the master bedroom. You are correct that this isn't in our description, as we provide pictures that show this clearly, and most people don't have an issue with it at all. As most people are aware. most hosts don't build the homes from the ground up. Rather, they buy a home in the area that they prefer, and then do their best to make it homey and inviting to their guests. Our home is completely stocked beyond most of our guest's imagination. We provide 12 bath towels, 4 hand towels, and a plethora of wash cloths, so I'm confused with your issue. I would just encourage potential renters to read further on our mostly 5 star reviews. We do appreciate your title "nice property" before you list things that were never brought to our attention before the review. I'm just elated that 99.8% of our renters Love our home, and many return every year or more! Lisa

Anniversary trip

House was just as described. Host was attentive to our needs and offered assistance throughout the stay. Location was about 1/2 mile from the downtown area but was an easy walk. Also if you are looking for a ride/uber check out Tesla taxi. They were above to accommodate all six of us in one car,

Cleanliness issues

The property has a strong smell of mold and/or mildew. The place is poorly lit, the furniture is worn, and there’s no dining room and no table to gather at (other than the outside deck). The owner was helpful and friendly but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it.

Hi Erin. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy our home as much as all of the other's before and after you...who all left 5 star reviews. The most frustrating part of receiving a review like yours is in the rare occasion it does happen is when the travelers requested AND received a more than 3 hour early check in with no restrictions or extra costs. Also...notes from my cleaners indicated there was trash left all over the house, oil on countertops and floors, and some sort of sticky substance on the dresser. Normally I never point out this type of uncleanliness from our renters...because most people treat our home with much respect, but it's usually the few who don't who choose to leave a poor review. You did reach out as you were leaving to tell me you smelled a musty smell...and you knew it was musty because your own house smells the same way. (We are trying to detect if this is an actual issue so we can do our best to deal with it., if it is.) As for the table, it's visible in all photos, AND there is a folding table with 6 chairs very visible in one closet...and fits nicely in the living room. Size of the home dictates what will fit in the home. We're glad most of our renters are absolutely over the moon about our home...and wish you and other hosts you rent from the best of luck in your future travels. Lisa
