Strikes 1 and 2 are two stand-alone eco-friendly, architecturally designed one bedroom self-contained luxury cottages nestled in the heart of Mudgee wine country 5 minutes’ drive from the town center. The views from both cottages are elevated and spectacular.
The houses are newly completed in 2017 and offer luxury and tranquility.
Each cottage caters for a total of two guests with plenty of space between the two cottages for privacy.

Simply Perfect
Seclude and private, but still so close to the local wineries, restaurants and Mudgee town. Immaculate presentation, with beautiful scenery by day and star filled skies by night. We'll definitely be selecting Strikes for our next visit to Mudgee.

Calm and amazing house
Justin is an amazing host. My partner and I had an awesome time at Strikes 2 enjoying the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Only 10 mins away from great wineries and town. We definitely recommend it.

Strikes 2 is bigger than it looks in the photos. Everything was super clean and the view is spectacular. The view at Strikes 2 is better than Strikes 1. Strikes 1's view looks into trees whereas Strikes 2's view is expansive and looks out to the hills unobstructed. Bathroom amenities are provided (no body lotion though) - they're like the hotel ones where it's packaged for single use. From an environmental perspective, I'm not sure how I felt about this. I was slightly surprised and was expecting just the standard size bottles. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Sanctuary in the vineyards
Strikes is a beautifully appointed property that makes a perfect getaway for two. It is comfortable with a log fire and deck where you can relax and enjoy the countryside view. The propriety is about a 15 minute drive from the centre of Mudgee and is near some of the vineyards and fine dining restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return.

Great getway for a much needed break in a secluded and tranquil location. Well set out accommodation comfortable with the timber fire a wonderful bonus. Booking was easy, hosts were very helpful.....Definitely a place to return again.

All that you need
This property has all you need to get away and relax. It was clean and comfortable. Close enough to town to go out and dine yet far enough away to be completely away from it all. The kitchen was well equipped. The fire place did a fabulous job and the heating in the bathroom was a nice find.

A Secluded Haven in Mudgee
With sweeping views across the rolling hills of Mudgee & accommodation which is both practical & sophisticated, Strikes 2 is an idyllic country getaway. Thanks Justin for creating such a peaceful haven. Great attention to detail in the stunning interiors, cosy wood burning stove & original local artwork. This will definitely be at the top of our list when returning to Mudgee.

Perfect view and very convenient to Mudgee town centre and vineyards
We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at Strikes 2. The farmland view was mesmerising and the northerly aspect warmed the cottage during the day so that we didn't need the very effective air con or floor heating. The combustion fireplace was also great with plenty of wood provided. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen stocked with cooking oil, salt, pepper, paper towels, wraps, tea and coffee items provided. Comfy bed and good shower. Close to Pipeclay Pumphouse restaurant which we recommend highly. Sipping local wines while enjoying the view and sound of birds and cows on the deck...perfect!

Strikes was a great find in a peaceful location just out of town among the wineries. It's beautifully fit out with lots of windows to take in the view, a nice living space, bathroom, good bedding and quality towels. There are views from every room and we woke up to kangaroos just outside. The deck overlooks the surrounding hills and is a lovely spot for a glass of wine as the sun goes down. It's close to Zin House which is a great restaurant which I highly recommend. It's the perfect escape for a couple of nights. Thanks Justin.

A very inviting lodge that is neatly presented and nested upon a scenic backdrop. It is true, wallabies casually stroll past oblivious to our presence. The wine flowed on the back deck as we soaked in the serenity. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Loved everything about it. The view from the verandah was amazing and loved waking up to wallabies all around us. The property was beautifully furnished and decorated. The fireplace was great to have on a cold night. Perfect location, we rode our bikes to nearby vineyards.

A spectacular place to stay!
Strikes 2 is a beautifully designed getaway for 2 just outside Mudgee. The house/cabin is very well designed and extremely comfortable. I would love to have stayed longer so that we could have used the fire place - maybe next time. The air-conditioning was enough to take the edge off the chilly morning air. The bedroom was a good size with racks for two suitcases, not just one! The kitchen was very well-equipped and we appreciated being asked what kind of milk could be supplied. The heated bathroom floor was luxury. I think the highlight for us was the deck on which we could sit with a glass of wonderful local wine and experience the spectacular sunsets (the sunrises were pretty good too!). We would love to come back again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Strikes 2. The accommodation was fantastic, lots of little details had been thought through and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything from the outdoor deck that overlooks the surrounding countryside, the modern kitchen, bathroom with heated flooring and bedroom with lovely, soft linens were exceptional. We will definitely be back!

Strikes house 2 . We had a lovely 2 night mid week stay, everything we wanted and more! Great location just out of town, beautiful views! Modern contemporary house, with lovely soft touches to it. Secluded and serene
Two days of much needed R&R were spent here, with the perfect mix of seclusion and comfort. Strikes is a tastefully designed space with uninterrupted views. The place was clean, yet cosy, with a comfortable bed for restful sleeps. Very simple check in/check out and reliable communication from the host. Nothing to complain about!
