Children’s beds not setup for late check in
Publié le 20 juill. 2024 sur HotelsWe arrived very late around 10.30pm as a stop on the way to Cornwall. With two young children, we asked twice (including calling ahead 45 min before arrival) to ensure the cot and small bed were setup. We were assured this would be done. Get in the room with two very tired children who then proceeded to wake up as we had to get the beds setup in the dark. A terrible nights could have been avoided if the beds were setup like they were promised.

Our room in main building was nice, however, advertising of accommodation online was misleading as we expected to stay in a wooden bungalow. This is how it appears on their website. It has been explained to us that in order to stay in the bungalow your booking should be for at least for 3 nights.
Our room was clean, comfortable, had everything you would need for one night stay in the hotel room. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful

Very small site.
Few of the lights didn’t have light bulbs, no towels as had to go buy towels for our stay and also toilet paper.
We had a mop bucket but no mop, the saucepans and oven trays were dirty and scraped.

I had booked a stay in the clubhouse at Fingle Glen but was ‘upgraded’ to a lodge due to the fact they had no heating. There was no WiFi in the lodge and I was unable to use the television although they did try to remedy this. The lodge was comfortable but the lack of WiFi which I was not aware of was disappointing.
