Publié le 21 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayI was disappointed at the cleanliness. It seemed as just the bare minimum was cleaned. There is quite a bit of mold in every window and in the bathroom. The bathroom had cobwebs and multiple spiders. the shower and sink had pink mold as if it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. The baseboards and around furniture had thick dust built up. The house was cute and quaint but I won't be staying there again. Also if you are on the taller side be aware that the doorways and the ceiling as you come down the stairs are very low. My husband had to duck.

A Joyous Property

Enjoyed the bottle of wine and thankful for the milk. The bed was really comfortable and the towels were the best I've ever used. A lovely town with everything in it you require. Lovely walk along the river and to the Mill Pond. We will definitely come back. Thank you for an enjoyable stay in your lovely house

Clean House
Publié le 1 oct. 2021 sur HomeAwayClean and very cosy house we went when the fuel was a problem. So wasn't able to explore the area as we would of wished too. BUT when we booked it the write up was showing as pet free which is what we always book where ever we go. We then happened to read a day before going one of the reviews mentioned a dog too. Dogs have been allowed to the property since May looking at the visitor book. This should of been made aware to us and anyone else. People choose pet free for a reason and not just because of health issues. VRBO replied in a way that was certainly was NOT apologetic.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Michael. One small, well behaved dog is permitted at Wood Cottage, and I am truly sorry that this was not as you had expected. We encourage guests with allergies or pet-free preferences to get in touch or detail these at the time of placing a booking, this way any requirements can be noted. It’s also worth bearing in mind that although a property may be listed as non-pet friendly, exceptions can still be made at the owner’s discretion, the owner may have a pet that stays with them, or a guide dog may have been permitted. To ensure the most comfortable stay in these instances, we would also suggest getting in touch just prior to an arrival so that we can triple check if any pets have recently stayed at the property. It’s a shame that your stay coincided with the UK fuel crisis, but we do hope that overall, you enjoyed your time in the Cotswolds and we thank you for your 5-star rating.
