Great Property- convenient access, beautiful views, perfect for any time of the year!
Publié le 25 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst, Tina and her team are very good hosts. They were available and communicated exceptionally before, during, and after our stay. As someone who is very familiar with the workings of the High Rockies short term rental industry, their ability to respond quickly and efficiently was a huge benefit. I also recognized the fact that their cleaning was exceptional. Hats off to her and her cleaners for that! The short drive to access 285 from the house made our commuting to/from BV (35 min) and Breck (20-30 min) very convenient. Even in the winter, this wouldn’t be a terrible ordeal for anyone with 4 wheel drive and minimal driving expertise. I lived in the area for years, but was amazed at the abundance of new and fantastic places that have popped up in FairPlay over the past 2 or so years I’ve been away. The food truck lot and Ollie’s are less than a mile from the property and offer a plethora of options for quick and easy food. Millonzis is always a favorite for incredible Italian but it does seem to be experiencing some troubles and its hours are very limited. The new stores around Prather’s Grocery (also about 1 mile or less from the house) are great for little local shopping options off Front street. As always, front/Main Street FairPlay is a blast!
I would recommend this property to anyone with kids or just adults. Whether couples or family the house offers great privacy for people when needed and large common spaces that everyone can be together in! Give it a try!!

Great Retreat

Nice relaxing place for a family get together
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Mountain Lakehouse cabin in Fairplay was the perfect getaway for our weeklong family get together. Eight adults and two children found plenty of space to both spread out and to come together.
The comfortable seating options on the multiple decks afford great locations to just soak up the mountain valley views.
The main kitchen, with its gas stove/double oven, convection oven, and microwave fulfilled everyone’s needs at meal prep time.
The bathrooms had amenities you’d never expect in a rental, but expect to find at higher end hotels/resorts such as q-tips, and makeup remover pads.
The multiple levels might pose a challenge for those not acclimated to the ~10,000 ft altitude. Remember to drink a lot of fluids.
WiFi connectivity and bandwidth was excellent.
Fairplay is a small town with a small grocery store, a Dollar General, and several boutique shops and a few restaurants and bars. South Park, a restored mining community from the mid-late 1800s located in Fairplay, is certainly worth the visit. The town fills up on the last weekend of July in celebration of Burro Days - a celebration of the area’s mining past.

Publié le 11 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat relaxing weekend. House was as listed, clean and well organized. A couple mishaps with power and internet due to high winds, but you have to expect that in rural areas. 5 Star all around.

Beautiful Home in Fairplay
Publié le 27 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe home is well appointed, clean, comfortable, and overall lovely. The host put up a couple Christmas trees ahead of our stay which was a special touch. The home has everything you could need from glassware, cooking, and has some nice rental touches like individual condiment packs in the fridge.
My nephews loved the playroom and we all enjoyed the hot tub. It’s a great home for a family or group of friends who value some personal space but also want great living spaces for all. Highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing
Publié le 3 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayMe and my wife scheduled to stay at this beautiful property for our 3rd Anniversary. We were blown away with this house and property! The house was clean and it was the most relaxing experience we could have asked for. Very easy and convenient to get to and from Fairplay. We can't wait to bring our families with us the next to we come out to Colorado and we will definitely be staying at this house again.
