Great property and excellent location
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayProperty was the perfect location for our stay visiting Gettysburg, Antietam and Harper’s Ferry. Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Large kitchen and great patio space overloooking the Potomac River. Only drawback was the AC would not allow to be turned under 72 degrees which made for restless nights as daytime temps were close to 100 and nighttime high 80’s.

Hey David, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! We set the lower limit of the thermostat to 72 degrees during the heat wave we've had of 95+ degree highs only to keep the system from freezing up and breaking on our guests. Residential systems are not designed to have the thermostat 20+ degrees lower than the outside temperature. But 72 degrees should be comfortable, and setting it lower does not make the house cool any slower. Hopefully the next time won't be during a record heat wave!

Over the Potomac River

The deck overlooking the river provided many views of nature with dear playing on the islands with eagles and hawks flying by. Very roomy cabin the first floor is laid out perfectly for relaxing with the family.

Beautiful Spot

Our cabin far exceeded expectations…clean, well decorated, river views watching bald eagles fly by ….all excellent. Mountain Mama’s had excellent communication and accessibility..even their own app. All their houses look amazing. Will return again.

Wonderful River Getaway
Publié le 22 août 2023 sur HomeAwayLovely location, great cabin, and easy check-in. This was a wonderful stay between the good service and the place itself. We had two lovely evening fires and enjoyed watching eagles and deer on the deck. Each bedroom was lovely and the design of the place is great. Would definitely return.

We had breakfast and lunch outside with a beautiful view of the river. Very peaceful surroundings with birds singing and fresh air. The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. I loved how everything is so organized bowls, plates, glasses and pans. Easy access for everyone.
We felt spoiled with the golden forks, spoons and knives. We cooked and used the stove (fireplace ?)
If you like to relax and if you enjoy nature this is the perfect place for you.
