Surprisingly spacious but cozy cottage

Cute Place, Great Neighborhood
Posted Sep. 21, 2024 on HomeAwayOverall we really enjoyed our stay. The area is quiet and tranquil yet just a few minutes from downtown Portland. The nearest restaurant, Dockside, less than a mile away, was wonderful. We were unfamiliar with Roku TV and were disappointed that we were unable to get a local station.

Great Family Vacation in Maine
Posted Aug. 26, 2024 on HomeAwayThe property was great for our family of 4. We enjoyed cooking at the property each night and playing board games or TV in the evening.
The location is great for walking on the shore, and for many nearby parks that we took full advantage of with our bikes that we brought. We especially liked biking to Macworth Island State Park, and taking our bikes on the Ferry to Chebeague Island. Also, the local market had great informal lunch after one of our bikerides, and lovely ice-cream, locally roasted coffe, and wine/beer.
We had a perfect time.

Reunion Getaway
Posted Jul. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayThis house was in close proximity to stores, beaches and short drive to LLbean and wonderful restaurants. The house itself was charming and provided us with a nice place to spend with old friends. The house itself could use some updates. No air conditioning, and very damp downstairs where bedrooms are located. Bedding was damp and signs of mold on ceiling.

We’re so glad that you found the Maine 1920s cottage to be lovely and charming, making for a great visit as you said - and in a great location. Sincerest apologies for damp linens, we may have been hasty with the same day turnover and not enough drying time. The mention of mold is alarming, and we take this very very seriously. After further inspection, we found what is old dirty adhesive spots from glow in the dark ceiling stars - and an older 2” small water stain below the tub drain line. Thank you for a letting us know so we can address the concern, and ensure there are no lurking property issues!
