Beautiful location and amenities

It was the perfect place to stay in the Ireland countryside. Beautiful view and close enough to a few restaurants and shops.

Wonderful Stay on The Wild Atlantic Way

Posted Sep. 12, 2024 on HomeAway
Loved the large comfortable home in one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. The house was perfect for our group of 6 extended family members. So much to do nearby! I wish I had 2 more weeks! Loved the local pub.

Great Stay in County Clare

Posted Aug. 22, 2024 on HomeAway
Fanore is a bit isolated but this is exactly what we wanted. We were able to relax and still explore the surrounding towns and nature attractions. Would highly recommend for a way to decompress. The house was comfortable and was more than enough space for a family of 4. As with any house there were a few quirks (hot water runs out after 15-20 minutes s you have to plan showers)- nothing that isn't easily managed. Highly recommend for a rural getaway in Western Ireland.

Fanore Bridge house

Posted Jul. 29, 2024 on HomeAway
Very Nice stay in Fanore. Very clean; although there were some spiders (daddy long legs) in washrooms. Checkin was very good. After fixing initial e.ail issues, they answered all questions. Would stay at bridge house again . Highly recommended!

Amazing house

Posted Jul. 12, 2024 on HomeAway
My family of 7 traveled all over Ireland and stayed at three different locations during our trip. This house was by far the BEST house. Keep in mind when we travel internationally our goal is to embrace the true culture and not get stuck in tourist town. This location did not disappoint. The local shop, pub and beach within walking distance were perfect. It was a short drive to Cliffs of Moher, town of Doolin, Doolin cave and Galway. The on-site host was amazing!

Perfect

Our stay at Bridge House was above and beyond what we were expecting. The location is breathtaking, with views of the ocean and within walking distance to a convenience store and a quaint little pub and beach. And you’re within a 15-20 minute drive to Doolin and other charming small towns. The home itself is expertly designed for maximum views of the surrounding area and furnished with everything you would need. We especially loved the fireplace - perfect for some cozy reading! But what made the stay for us was the warm hospitality we received from Deirdre, her family, and Anna. They are the most gracious hosts and gave the best list of recommendations for things to do nearby (do not skip out on Ennistymon)! We are already planning our next trip back!

Great location, mediocre accomodations.

The location was fantastic but the house itself has a few issues. For example few of the windows opened and it was quite warm at times with little ventalation. The furniture was old and a bit shabby. There was really no place to sit comfortably outside and there was no way to lock certain doors. But we made the best of everything and had a great time! Anna, the manager, was fabulous!!!

Melissa, we were very disappointed to get this review. Both of our houses in Fanore are family homes that we decorate with beautiful Irish antique country furniture that we have collected over the past 30 years. We take great pride in keeping them comfortable, clean and well cared for. We wish you had contacted either me or Anna regarding the windows and doors. All rooms have operational windows that allow for cross ventilation and all doors to the outside lock. Since it is a family home, we don't have locks on the interior doors. We also don't have outside furniture except for the stone tables which most people bring chairs to sit on. The weather in this part of Ireland can be very unpredictable and the furniture would either be destroyed or blown away. We learned from Anna after you'd moved out (since she had no reason to question your being truthful) that one person in your group was smoking outside. When she said it was a "no smoking" property, that person said that they had asked us ahead of time and we'd said it was ok. That conversation never happened. We are sorry you did not enjoy the house and wish you well in your travels.
