Always happy to be in The Library

The property is comfortable, Sylvia and Sharon are friendly and helpful hosts, and we do so enjoy Ferndale's Victorian and agricultural ambiance. And of course, there are the books! What a unique vacation experience. Much recommended.

Peaceful setting
Publié le 23 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our second time staying here. It is a very peaceful area and beautiful setting in the country; a nice respite from the city, and appreciated after a long drive. The room was perfect and we enjoyed looking at some of the 3,000 books in The Library!

Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur second time staying at this property. It's delightful! Small town peacefulness, with hiking and a gorgeous beach in your backyard.
Property doesn't have a TV which should be a standard amenity in most rentals. Also, beach towels or chairs would be a nice addition since there's a gorgeous, unspoiled beach a couple miles down a quiet farm road.
The suggestions above do not dim my HIGHEST recommendation for this lovely, well-maintained property.

Publié le 6 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Library is in a beautiful, bucolic setting on the outskirts of Ferndale. We enjoyed being in the dairy district, with cows munching the pasture grass right outside the kitchen window. The high ceilings, the 3,000 books, the abundant daylight, and the quiet of the location "outside" of town added to the delightful stay we enjoyed.

The Library is unique & special

We love being a little bit out of town and walking in to the sweet town of Ferndale. Our second stay at this property, but first at the library. Our go to place now when coming to Ferndale.

Always happy to be back

We love the rural atmosphere; the friendliness of Ferndale; the closeness to the redwoods, Lost Coast, Old Town Eureka, and the lovely back roads of Humboldt County; and, of course, the unique book-lined space with its soaring windows and walls of books. Sharon and Sylvia are thoughtful hosts. We will keep coming back for as long as we can.
