We booked the restaurant at the hotel and received a confirmation accordingly by mail. However, once on site, we have been told that the restaurant was closed. Very weird.

We are very sorry you had this experience. Yes, the VI Restuarant is closed on Thursdays and we regret you did not get this information. If you are in the area in the future please stop in and let us try to make this unfortunate error up to you.

Très bon séjour
Publié le 2 janv. 2020 sur HotelsTrès bel établissement victorien. D’époque donc insonorisation et isolation pas au top. Mais c’est super agréable de dormir dans cette belle maison. Le bar est chouette ainsi que le restaurant qui propose d’excellents repas. On conseille vivement 🙂

bel hotel de charme victorien dans un charmant village très calme et sympathique;notre chambre était spacieuse et superbe,la première qu'on nous avait proposée était plus petite.

Beautiful Victorian Building,
there is no daily housekeeping, which annoys me, I don’t go away on holidays to do house work. Most hotels tend to this :-(
the breakfast is a box to go, includes, yogurt Croissant cheese muesli bar butter and jam… Fruit would have been a though

Darn. We are sorry we missed that for you. We do offer housekeeping services if the guest requests it, but most of our guests prefer the privacy we offer. The Grab & Go Breakfasts we offer include a fresh Croissant, an energy bar, a premium carton of yogurt with fruit, a small wheel of cheese, butter and jam, along with freshly brewed coffee or tea. This breakfast is designed to be enjoyed in our dining room or taken with the guests on their journey, perhaps to be enjoyed as a picnic in the Redwood or at the Beach. We have had many guests comment of this as a positive feature in their reviews. We hope you come back and visit us and our village again.

The Victorian Inn is a wonderful and charming hotel in the heart of Ferndale, CA. It is set right in town, close to dining and shopping options. It's a period hotel, so don't expect a modern look, that's not what they do. I would also suggest packing light. There isn't an elevator (or we never found one) and rooms are on the second floor. Take advantage of the grab-and-go breakfast- it's a nice touch.

Ferndale is an adorable town, and the Inn was lovely! Historic with a wonderful vibe and great food.

It seems this guest had a very nice experience, but we would sure love to know how we missed getting a 10. And we hope this guest returns to stay again.
