The showers were great. My only criticism is that I felt the house could have been freshly cleaned before we arrived. Some surfaces were sticky and the pots and pans were not very well cleaned as well. But upon saying that property is very liveable and we will return in thefuture wasn’t

Nice property, great location, needs some TLC
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely location for the property, I hadn't realised how beautiful Fitzroy Falls was. The place itself is a nice house, great big open plan lounge room and a nice dining room and lounge area with TV and pool table leading onto the garden.
The main downside was the cleanliness, while most of the main inside areas were pretty clean the outside - windows, porch area, screens were grubby and need a good clean.
Also the bedrooms look tired, marked carpets and there appeared to be no heating in the bedrooms. Not a big issue in late spring but I wouldn't want to stay there in winter unless there's heating I didn't figure out.

Awesome weekend

Great for dogs
Publié le 12 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThere was 12 of us, so we used the cottage too. The place was clean and the ameneties fine. We had a fantastic time and it felt spacious. Close work to the waterfall but a shame that the cafe there was closed. It was cold and although there is a fire (which was great) and a aircon I don't think I would stay here during winter. It was a very good stay overall only two small issues. We could not find a key to open a side door which made packing and unpacking a little more difficult and also could not find a swich to turn on the roof fans to move the heat from the fire around. It is not really a luxury place but you would not really expect that when they allow dogs.

Seriously lacking TLC

However the whole property is in a complete state of disrepair. There is an enormous amount of work & clean up needed to bring it up to scratch, inside and out. Owner was lovely!

Thank you Natalie for your feedback. We strive to meet the expectations of all our guests, and whilst contrary to feedback from other guests we welcome all feedback and have addressed the concerns Natalie expressed. We must say we were completing some landscaping at the time so the yard was messy, we apologise for the inconvenience. We have had some wonderful feedback since Natalie's visit including: 'hey Tim thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful home we had an amazing time, thank you so much' from Tangi - Marie 15 - 17 August, the weekend after Natalie's visit. Also 'Really enjoying the place, we are all liking the open fire as well 😀 - we had a great weekend, fitted everyone well, an amazing place for myself and my girls to get ready morning of our wedding. would love to go back and enjoy it with friends or family again.' from Micelle 23 - 25 August, 2 weeks after Natalie's visit. This is more consistent with our usual feedback, but we do Thank Natalie for her feedback and allowing us to address some minor issues we were unaware of other than the landscaping that was being completed. We hope Natalie considers visiting again in the future.

It was a pleasure having Thayani visit Timbalah. Thank you for letting us know about the spa and BBQ. We have replaced the heater pump in the spa, so it is working wonderfully, and have extra bottles of gas to avoid the BBQ running out of gas again. We would love to welcome Thayani and his guests back to Fitzroy Falls.

Wedding accommodation
Publié le 2 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayI stayed here with my family for my wedding at Mali Brae Farm. It was an excellent choice, only a short drive to the venue.
Its very peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to relax. We loved sitting around the fireplace, which was especially cosy. The beds are super comfortable and rooms nice and warm. Lots of games and a pool table for entertainment.
Tim was always available if needed, and responded to texts and communication quickly and efficiently. We will absolutely stay here again when in the area. Highly recommend.

Lovely retreat in the country
Publié le 2 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayVery spacious house with cosy fire and comfy couches, surrounded by national park. Walking distance to Fitzroy Falls and easy drive into nearby towns. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed watching the birds. Lovely place to get away from it all and unwind.
